I tried 4 addons to limit access to time stealing websites. None of them worked better than this one. Some were fancier, some had more functions, some didn't work. This one does work and is easy to control. It gives me a blank screen where there used to be a website.
Update: I'm using Comodo Firewall content filter now to block websites..
It gives you the most elegant and profound statistics on your behaviour on the web. It's unobtrusive and a must for the one perfecting himself. No longer be blind to how much time your bad habits suck out of your life. Kill them on time.
Update: I'm using Procrastitracker to track pc usage now.
It shows my statistics in two simple clicks. When there are more than 5 sites, the diagrams collapse, and I can't see much. So, I will use "Mind The Time" or something else for now.

This is the best shortener I could find. Now I can just press the scissors in my url bar and get a short link. And it's sent automatically to my bit.ly account. If I want a cute handcrafted url, I can use their bookmarklet or shorten with CutyFox and later change it in my account.
I tried it, and it didn't block anything. Probably will work for others. I'm not a noob and know how to set it up. Most likely there was a conflict with some other extentsions, but I'm not uninstalling them just to use this one. So, I will use SiteBlock or something else. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.6.1-signed).
I totally blocked one site to be unavailable all the time. It seemed impossible to unblock it!
To unblock it, create another rule with the same string in it, but different conditions allowing for the site to be shown. It will override the old settings.
Not very convenient anyway, so I'll use another extension like "SiteBlock" or "Simple Site Blocker 1.1".
Now manual tweeting is as easy as opening the bookmarks sidebar. I can also read and reply to tweets in my feed in it, but to my dismay I discovered that full conversations are not supported. Very nice anyway. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (7.7.29).
An essential little helper. Maybe there are better ones of the kind, but this one is still a perfectly great one. I just double click anything domain-like and it opens without copying and pasting anything.
Update: I'm using Linkification now.
Scrapbook is God among all Firefox add-ons. You will find nothing of the kind for any other browser, therefore this add-on alone is a compelling reason to ditch all other browsers in favor of Firefox.
P.S. Don't use it to permanently save your life-essential data, only use it for temporary and operational purposes. Use AllMyNotes software as your wiki-style lifelong journal instead.
Whenever I install and reinstall Firefox anew, this add-on is the first one I go for. A browser without these functions is the pain in the A** and is not even worth considering when you habitually sift through dozens of tabs open at the same time. Slightly less important than oxygen.
Together with 2 Pane Bookmarks and Scrapbook this add-on will make it impossible for you to turn to any other browser for any considerable amount of time. Most of all I like the way that my bookmarks automatically roll out as soon as I move the pointer to the edge of the screen. If feels like Firefox and I share mental telepathy which is a very cozy feeling you have to experience for yourself. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11-signed).
This is an unnoticeable, but infinitely useful add-on that will make it very easy to visit a collection of your favorite websites without the frustration to adjust and reajust the fonts each time manually. Get it for your Firefox and you will never regret!
Lastpass completely obliterates and puts to eternal shame all the built-in password vaults in all browsers, including that of the Firefox. This is an absolutely essential add-on for your productive work! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168-signed).
I only use a small fraction of its power, but it surely trumps the default search engine options and is essential for everyone, for on the web your search is your everything. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (22.214.171.124-signed).
It feels good to be untouchable, the ghost they will never catch. I switch it off, however, for a number of websites. That's how generous I am.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed).
FlashGot is my all time favorite. Use it with the Download Master freeware and you will find it very comfortable to surf and download without interruptions and lost files. I especially like the way it automatically shows and downloads mediastreams from most sites, except the treacherous RTMP-streams. But I use ClipGrab for YouTube, Vimeo and the likes, however. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52.1-signed).
Along with Proximitron, Firebug is my ultimate weapon on the internet. I am the master of the digital space here, and no webmaster has the right to tell me what I have to do and what I will get for it. I can hack and crack pages with copy-protected media, both pictures and mediastreams, I can save protected content and do just about anything that I WANT, not somebody else. Use this and be invincible. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed).
To this date, I've used it for a year and a half and I can't tell you how damn useful it is. This button kills dozens of tabs in a split-second, so I can open as many more as I want afresh and kill them all again instantly. This is a killer when you do an extensive research and despise mediocrity.
This is perfect to read static articles saved in Scrapbook, the ones Readability cannot parse. Use it and you will have an advantage over slow readers. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (9.3369.854.431.1-signed).
This is essential for the perfect order in your workflow. Use it with OmniSidebar only.
