I give it three starts for effort, however, it simply doesn't work. And yes, I have read your notes, as per your responses to anyone who hasn't given the addon full stars. But I can't work out why it doesn't work. Great idea though. Huge effort. Thanks anyhow.
This worked great, aside from slowing down and/or freezing firefox and/or crashing it intermittently. But I just downloaded the latest release of Firefox 22.0 and it no longer works. It looks fine as it downloads etc., goes through the motions but then nothing. No toolbar, anywhere. Nothing happens. It shows up in the add-ons list, but that's about it. Is there a compatibility issue between this and FF 22.0? I'm really annoyed because I loved using it.
Seems to work as stated. My bookmarks seems safe. So well done. Appreciated your work :)
I have been using this extension for about 6 months now and have never had any problems with it. To the developer, I say salute! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7.0).
Simply well done :)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.8).
IF FOUND THE BUTTON!! My previous, not impressed, post is here ... "Where is this "button" you speak of. I cannot find it anywhere. Waste of time as far as I'm concerned." My REVISED POST is here .... "OK here's the deal. You HAVT TO BE IN THE "Add-ons Manager" in Firefox. It's NOT on the standard page, where most of us would ge looking for it. BUT, If you go into your Firefox Add-Ons, and you look at the very extreme, ROP, RIGHT hand side CORNER of the page you will see a button called "DUMP LIST" and that is where you can print your add-ons etc. In either text or if you wish in PDF. It does a good job but the developer needs to tell people WHERE the button is, otherwise we all look for it on the main page. Works well once you've been able to read the mind of the developer though"
Firstly, I agree with everything Kevo said in his review. It's very limited in what it offers, and in which country, rendering it almost useless. But I have no doubt that for some, especially those in the US, it possibly is a reasonable add-on.
HOWEVER, it installs the dreaded and hated Babylon search engine; by stealth! No warning or indication to the user! It "runs" in the background and unless the user actually knows where to look for it, their system is vulnerable. It doesn't take much research to find out that Babylon is considered by many users and web tech sites, as a adware/malware. Microsoft's Malicious Removal Tool still considered it as such until 2010 because of it's behavior. Babylon then submitted some token changes, just enough to have them "legitimized" however, not much has changed, and many other anti-spy/adware/malware tools still detect it for what it is. It's insidious and can hi-jack your search engine. Standard uninstall rarely get's rid of it. This is not a problem for those who don't mind or want Babylon on their machine; but beware of it's background "activities".
For those who have come to hate Babylon; it's an absolute deal breaker, and more so that it hasn't been disclosed by the developer. There is no opt out option, and removal is often "dirty" and unreliable. It is this type of "ethic" that often leave users with a bad taste in their mouth when trusting/dealing with app developers. In my case, I will never install any app or add-on from this developer again, not just because of Babylon itself, but also because of a complete lack of disclosure. Unethical at best.
Horrible add-on, many risks, little benefit. I only gave it a one-star "rating" because I had no other way of posting this review, otherwise I would have given it a big, fat zero or minus. Clean up your act!
Great add-on, set it, forget it, depend on it. Great add-on, intuitive, not clumsy or cluttered, flexible & useful. I feel "insecure" without it. Well done! Please donate as I have to ensure work continues :)
Feebee was great. But in the past year, I can't get it to work. I've upgraded to the latest version of Firefox but still Feebee insists on having issues with add-ons. Even the "fix" the developer has released does NOT stop Feebee from having a conniption over the AVG security add-on. No matter how many times you put it in the exclusion list. Very annoyed as I've made a donation, it hasn't worked & when I contacted the developer I had zero response. Waste of time.
AN ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE. Tested & checked, links & docs all work; have functional embeded links, graphics etc., as per the origional. Testing was done with Firefox 9.01. The clever options to Save opens up sub directories within root directories making it not only versatile, accurate and incredibly simple but also ESSENTIAL. Great Job, well done, don't stop now! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2).
