I give credit where credit is due. This thing works on my computer without a hitch and saves me from over running the gigs at the end of the month. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (22.214.171.124.1-signed).
Actually my main use for it is to find out who is hosting a site. Being useful for finding slow sites, sites that are down a lot, and the such. Can be a consideration when looking or an IP for future hosting. Works great for me.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed).
Says it won't work on my platform (9.0.1) but it does and very well. I use it mainly for web pages that won't render for whatever reason in FF.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52.1-signed).
Very good and useful. Not much more to say. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed).
After my first review (below) I received a scathing email from WOT. As in the response to the review they are basically telling me to go to their forum (and do not post negative reviews here) and start a thread which undoubtedly they would jump on just as they have from all of the negative reviews on this add on review page. Take a look, for some reason it seems, everyone is wrong but WOT. Why is that? Basically its telling me they do not want a negative review shown to the public. They do not want to be exposed. I have seen good known government pages blacklisted, good software pages blacklisted and others. All the public has to do is surf and you'll find addresses that are known to be good. Yes most are bad that are blacklisted however in no way should they have to go to WOT for a Mother May I to be reprieved. Like those who have tried to expose the truth in these pages, Firefox needs to get rid of this add on. And no WOT, I do not need another nasty email. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (20111107.1-signed). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
The concept would be great if everyone was on the same page so to speak. In the real world I have seen good business sites, state and federal government sites, and sites not preferred by ethnic groups with various grades of warnings. Imagine yourself in a room full of people--good honest hardworking Christians, doctors, lawyers, bartenders, know it alls, perverts, drunks, molesters, peeping toms (you get the picture), all judging your website. Who is behind that computer screen half way around the world that is allowed to judge and put a permanent label on us and our hard work. Well thanks to WOT and Site Advisor, they are and because of your participation in it you are too. Theres a lot of honorable business's out there blacklisted so to speak just because of some individual or ethnic groups preferences. Hey these rebel rousers can't spend all their time trolling the forums picking a fight where they don't have to stand face to face with someone. I can see the popularity in this addon, after all with it anyone, and I mean anyone, can permanently judge you for all to see with the click of a mouse. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (20111107.1-signed).
My only complaint is after saving a page the only way I can go to Scrapbook Plus is to click Bookmarks a time or two, then click Scrapbook Plus to get it to function again. After that it is just fine. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11.1-signed).
I think due to the script used on todays webpages FAYT is becoming less and less usable. I get about 50% success any more and have to resort to the old page by page scroll to find what I want. If It could be upgraded to work on more script it would be indispensable again.
If a cloud is within range you get the warning. The program does not take into account the fact that the cloud may be passing beside your location and not over it. In my location that happens a lot of the time and leads to a lot of false positives. Kinda neat tho'.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2).
All other programs can find my US location both by zip and city/state. This addon can't find it by either one. The directions say if your location doesn't work another one nearby is usually good enough. That statement in itself should explain it all. My times too valuable and there are too many good programs out there to waste any more of it on this. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.25.1-signed).
