My Reviews

FaviconizeTab

Very Useful Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I like and use this addon very much

If I would have but one request it would be that I could have an extra option "do not close hide button on ACTIVE tab"

This would save more space, and is much more useful on touch like pc's.

Save Images

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this addon,it's useful and works greatly

I do have a remark

I would suggest an option to disable starting from 1 when images types are different.

Right now in a row of jpg's if there are a few pngs it numbers those png's differently. This is not ideal if you like the order the tabs opened in.

Save Images

almost perfect Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love this add-on. It has many options and is quite easy to use. Also very powerful at handling multiple 100's of images even.

I do miss the save open/close function. It was really handy for some sites that have a cap on how many images you can open at once.

it was maybe finicky at times, but maybe a new iteration,or difference in execution could be imagined:

maybe there should be an 'open selected links in 1 tab' but be able to specifiy a 'cooldown' for each image. it opens one initial image, then pauses 5 seconds (customizable?) ,then adds a new one each time,in the right order. (also for image link and other opening options)

This way you don't open images too fast, not triggering any limits. This also helps for sites with weaker servers.and saving can be done quickly anyway as the image links are then already open

Bookmark Deduplicator

seems to work but needs more options Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I like that it removes duplicate bookmarks

what I don't like is that I don't get to see which bookmarks are duplicates so that I can choose to confirm and delete or mark and unmark some of the individual duplicates ,for whatever reason I might have.

I would very much like more control in the manner. I like to be absolutely sure that the right things get deleted.

another thing I would like that if removal of duplicates results in an empty folder,I can choose to remove that folder as well.

otherwise,great job!

Super Start

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great add-on,though firefox has added a native solution for this there is still some use to this add on. For now it is more customizable, but it needs to be even more so.

Maybe even make bookmarks totally browsable like the "my favourite" tabs that you can save,in stead of a drop down that is not really useful. Visually browsable bookmarks would be so awesome!

If it could sync your saved websites and settings across different computers with firefox sync as well this would improve the functionality even more.

Web Search Pro

Great but needs a tad bit more Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I would like it very much if this add on would sync it's settings (search engines, order, display settings...) across different computers. Right now I have to remake all my settings three times or even more.

another little problem is that some sites who do provide their own search engines ,to be activated (firefox addons, youtube,...) can't be added through the search bar. I have to visit mycroft or this addons own site to search there, while normally these sites provide it themselves.

Otherwise this is an almost perfect experience!

Save File to

Great but needs a tad bit more Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I think "save file to" needs a function to add,at any time, a new folder on the fly. Say you select and want to save an image, you want it on the desktop in its own new folder: you need to minimize firefox, make that folder and only then can you use "save file to" to add it to that folder.

This would make "save file to even more convenient then it is now.

Another feature that would be awesome is when in the context menu ,you are traveling through the folders, you can on the spot decide you want to add that folder to the stock folders that you always have for that particular file type. Right now you need to add it by going to the option and add it there. While this is fine,it doesn't make for a very flexible experience.

You could implement this by showing Icons next to the folders,in the context menu, and if you click the icon, that folder gets added to the quick search. If you already have that folder added, clicking it again would then remove it from the quick searches.

These 2 options would take this wonderful addon to the next level.

Hilarious Webcomic Manager

Good but could be better Rated 3 out of 5 stars

for now the way I use it is to store the comics I need to read but don't wanne keep open. If the ordering tools were to be expanded (custom ordering, folder ordering) perhaps digging into bookmarks rather then a custom format, this might be significantly improved.

The UI also needs to be a bit smaller, and maybe use side by side buttons in stead of those laaaaarge buttons that take up all the space.

I also can't edit titles/names... I have to remove them and add them again. An edit button,or context menu would be nice

Great idea,but room for improvment

Tile View

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm a long time fan of tile tabs and while testing this spiritual successorI was pleasantly surprised.

The switching is quick and versa"tile" (haha...shoot me)

-I miss the simple blue border around the favicon from tile tabs. I sometimes tile app tabs AND i now use the favicon add-on (every tab is only a favicon) and I have NO visual lead on which tabs are tiled. could you please change that? it was a cleaner way to show what was tiled.

-It can be a bit disconcerting when you travel to another tabgroup (panorama) that the tiles stay ,active and while clicking left and right tab you automatically change tabgroups. I love that now;but a warning might be in place,I feared I had lost a lot of my tabs. And maybe a function that every tabgroup has it's own tiles?

Oh and I just found that if you delete a tab on far right with 'assign existing tab from right" that you immediatly acces other groups in panorama. Very disorienting, please let me deactivate this behaviour. (for now I set in on "assign to left" for that reason, but I would like it differently)

EDIT: I just found that "assign to left " also gets this behaviour.

-I know you can press F12 to initiate a layout, but I prefer to drag and drop all the time. I cannot initiate a layout by dragging anymore, which I found better.

-Shortcut for untile tab, maybe even untile all tabs.

-Maybe make an already tiled tab unclickable or prevent it from loading in the other tile? Because now if you click it it gets switched around to the tab with the selection. This can be very disorienting (again).

Ofcourse these are just my findings, but if these issues could be resolved this would make it so much better
