How to reenable add-ons in Firefox 43 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The setting in about:config referred to above will be removed in Firefox 44, as far as I know. My fix: I abandoned Fx 43 and installed Fx 38.5.2 ESR, as that will give me peace of mind for some more months.
Version 4.1.4 works as expected (on Firefox 41.0.2) Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Great add-on, couldn't live without it ... as I travel the world and have family and friends "all over the place".
Updated to 4.1.4 on three computers running Firefox 41.0.2 and have no issues so far. Thanks Andy!
Review on use with Firefox 38.0.6 Rated 2 out of 5 stars
My review/comments on the missing button under Options > Security > Passwords (using no-tab options menu) was removed. Why? I have used this add-on for years and it's quite useful. But it has to work. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168-signed).
Needs update! Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This add-on needs an update. It clashes with Play DRM Content (check box doesn't show) under Options-Content (Firefox 38). In view of the developer's reluctance to keep up with new Firefox versions, I have no high hopes. Too bad. Removed for now. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.2.1-signed). No Tab at startup broken (?) in Firefox 29 Australis Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The Options-Tabs setting 'Always show the tab bar' (un-ticked), which worked fine in FF 28, seems to be broken with FF 29. Installed FF 29 on two computers and both start with one empty tab (without the X to close).
Except for 'Classic Theme Restorer' 1.1.7 .. no new extensions have been added. Any idea how to fix this?
Answer to Developer on Australis: okay, your choice, but, it sounds like the easy way out. I don't like Australis either and wished it had never happened. However, it did and Mozilla won't change it for now. The fix I have found is to install the extension 'Hide Tab Bar With One Tab 1.3' (by Chris). Oh well...
Tools Menu Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Still testing this add-on on Firefox 3.6.21. Minor issue, the "nondescript" entry under Tools Menu. If you want to change this entry to, for example, RAMBack Clears Caches, you can do so by decompressing the ramback.jar file and then by changing the ramback.dtd file as follows:
<!ENTITY ramback.label "RAMBack Clear Caches">
<!ENTITY rambackToolbar.label "RAMBack">
<!ENTITY rambackToolbar.tooltip "Clear internal caches!">
Then, re-compress (e.g., using IZArc and the fast setting) all the folders into a new ramback.jar file and place it where the original file (renamed ramback.jar.old) resides. This worked for me ..! Best, CBA
