Dear author of this addon (a.k.a. follow-up to my last post) Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Like I wrote in my previous post today, it seems that I could make the addon work with the current version of Pale Moon 27.0.3 by hacking your install.rdf file in the XPI.
I also have to admit that my hack is a bit dirty because I just changed "em:minVersion" from 38.0 to 27.0, and I don't really know if your addon would work with Pale Moon versions from 27.0 up or just with the current 27.0.3.

So, if you have the time, could you verify if your addon does work indeed with PM and change the install.rdf file accordingly if it does?

I guess that would be very much appreciated by us lowly Lucid Lunar aficionados. ;-)

How to use this addon with Pale Moon 27.0.3 (at your own risk, of course) Rated 4 out of 5 stars

When trying to install the current version of this addon in Pale Moon 27.0.3 (i.e. Version 1.0.2016020701), you'll get an error message saying that the addon isn't compatible with "Firefox 27.9" (at least that's what my version of Pale Moon told me when I tried to install the addon directly from here).
However, I just modified the install.rdf file in the XPI file to make this addon work with Pale Moon and so far, it seems to work as it should.

Be warned, though:
Short version: Your mileage may vary.
Long Version: I can't (and thus won't) guarantee this hack works with other versions of Pale Moon or the addon which I specified, and I can't and won't even guarantee that the specified versions will work. So if you're trying this, be aware that you're doing it at your own risk, of course.

So to help others, if this doesn't work for you, don't blame me, but please leave a note here where you specify which version of Pale Moon and the addon which you used.
(And if it does work for you with the same or different versions of Pale Moon and/or the addon, it sure would be helpful too to leave a note here and specify your Pale Moon/addon versions.)

1) Right-click on "Add to Firefox", select "Save Link as" and save the XPI file.
2) Change the file type from .xpi to .zip in Windows Explorer by renaimg the file and ignore the warning about changing the file's extension could render the file useless (i.e. confirm that you want to change the file's extension).
3) Open the renamed ZIP archive with WinZip, WinRAR, 7-Zip (or whatever archiving software you're using) and extract the install.rdf file.
4) At the end of the install.rdf file, find the option: em:minVersion="38.0"
5) Change the value "38.0" to "27.0" and save the install.rdf file.
6) Put the install.rdf back into the ZIP archive, overwriting the old install.rdf file in the ZIP archive.
7) Change the file type back from ZIP to XPI, again ignoring the warning.
8) Open Pale Moon (if you haven't already) and pull the now modified XPI file from Windows Explorer into Pale Moon. Confirm that you want to install the addon.
9) Restart Pale Moon as requested and Bob should be your uncle, i.e. you should now have two panes in the sidebar with the folders in the upper and the bookmarks in the lower part.

I hope this helps, and do remember: YMMV.

Is it possible to sort downloads with the filters? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I have one download folder with different subfolders for videos, audio files, pictures, various text files (txtx, docx, odt, pdf...) and binaries (programs, installers, archives...)
Problem is, DtA! puts ALL files into ONE folder (i.e. the download folder) and I have to sort them manually, which can be tedious.

So is it possible to use filters to also sort downloaded files in different folders?
For instance: download .mp4/.mkv/.avi/.flv in "downloads\video", .mp3/.ogg/.wav in "downloads\audio",
.txt/.pdf/.docx/.odt files into "downloads\text", and .msi/.exe/.zip/.rar into "download\bin"?

I already tried to adjust the regex accordingly, but that didn't work.

Very useful addon, but one feature is REALLY missing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I find it tedious to impossible sometimes to block ads or other unwanted content because it's just impossible to determine how to block single objects.

So what I'd REALLY appreciate would be a context menu option like "block this element", maybe with a dialog where I can refine the filter. That would make working with uMatrix a ton easier.

Apart from that, uMatrix is great and in my opinion an absolutely essential addon with good usability.

All-in-One Sidebar

Downloads können seit 0.7.29 nicht mehr in einem Tab angezeigt werden. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

TORPEDO - TOoltip-poweRed Phishing Email DetectiOn

More nuisance than useful. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

First, the tooltip is absolutely useless and actually annoying. I'd prefer a context menu entry to let me check a link when *I* want to, because I don't click on a link when I'm not perfectly sure that it's legit.

Second, when I explicitely click on a legitimate link, I want it to open in my browser, no questions asked. TOrPeDO prevents that and does nothing, not even warn me why it prevents links from opening.

So in the end, TOrPeDO does nothing for security, but only creates confusion because it keeps interfering with my wetware security measures (aka brain) because I keep asking myself every time "did TOrPeDO actually what it should or is it just overreacting again?").

I tried it for two months now, and it didn't help anything but kept making trouble and made working more cumbersome, so off it goes from my Thunderbird.

Mouse Gestures Suite

Make it available for Thunderbird? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really like this Addon so I would also like to use it in Thunderbird. Would that be possible?

I'm so accustomed to mouse gestures nowadays that I always try unsuccessfully to close mail tabs and go one mail forward or back with them in TB *g*.

Breaks TB 45.1.1 (Mnenhy version is Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Mail headers aren't shown anymore, central Inbox, Sent etc. for all accounts is empty, sometimes it's even not possible to select anything in the menu bar.

Deactivating the addon instantly cured all of these problems, and I also tried deactivating all other addons except Mnenhy. WIth Mnenhy active, TB shows the faulty and erratic behaviour which instantly stops when I deactivate the addon.

Works perfectly as it should, love it; but I have a small question. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Currently, I'm using uMatrix as well as uBlock origin.
What I don't yet fully understand, is: I got the impression that both addons essentially do the same job, with uMatrix giving me more and better refined blocking options. Am I right?
So my main question is: Does it make sense to use both addons at the same time, or would that be tautologic?
And ´(as I'm using uBlock for quite some time now): Can I import my uBlock rules which have accumulated over the years into uMatrix so I don't have to start over blocking umpteenth elements anew if I would uninstall uBlock?

All-in-One Sidebar

Works well, apart from one small issue Rated 4 out of 5 stars

When using spacers and separators in the sidebar, they become invisible when opening the customize tab (about:customizing) and thus can't be dragged or removed anymore.
(I already opened an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/AddonLab/AiOS/issues/100)

RequestPolicy Continued

Possible bug: Sometimes shows empty site after allowing requests Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works most of the time, but sometimes after I select "Allow requests from *.[website]" (I don't know if this is the exact phrasing in English because I'm using FF with German language settings), the site isn't reloaded but only an empty tab is shown and the history of the tab is empty, so I have to search for the website's URL in the browser history.

Mouse Gestures Suite

Thanks for making mouse gestures work again! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was using All-in-One Gestures for years, but since FF43+ it doesn't work anymore, especially the feature I'm using most frequently: closing the current tab (NOT "document", mind you. Tab).
Closing the current document is no alternative, because then FF is closed when the last tab is closed, which I don't want at all (and which BTW also breaks the options of Tab Mix Plus and Configuration Mania to *not* close FF after the last tab has been closed).

So, kudos to the author of Miouse Gestures Suite for providing the perfect substitute/successor for a once great add-on.

All-in-One Gestures

Forget this add-on. It's abandoned since 2013 and doesn't even work properly with FF43+ Rated 1 out of 5 stars

A working alternative (down to the dialogs looking almost the same) based on this add-on is "Mouse Gestures Suite":
It'ss also available here on AMO, search for the name or go straight here: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/mouse-gestures-suite/

Doesn't work in FF 43.0.4. and higher. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Are there any known conflicts with other FF addons or did it just stop working?

Works under Windows, no joy under Linux. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

1) KeeFox constantly screws up my FF toolbars. I'm sick of having to reconstruct them on a daily basis. so KeeFox had to go (and will stay off my boxes).

2) In addition, I'm sick of trying to make KeePass and KeeFox work together under Linux. I tried everything - different versions of plugins, compiled them, tried the KeePass version for Linux as well as the Windows Portable with mono... everything I could come up with and
I've just reached the point where I tried so much that I have to say it doesn't make sense to try further. I'm done with this addon (in addition, as the KeePass integration into a Linux GUI is really bad, I'm done with that too.)

From now on, I'll use KeePassX. That means I have to copy&paste user data by hand - but because KeePass and KeeFox didn't work, I'm used to that anyways.

Bookmarks Checker - check for bad links

Completely useless, because it lacks an essential feature. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This Addon doesn't show where the booksmark duplicates are, but just which URL with which title is a duplicate.
So you never know which bookmark in which folder you'll be deleting, which will just make a mess out of ones collection.

I won't give it more than one star until that oproblem is fixed because that feature is crucial.

Great with Windows, horrible with Linux, Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I used this Addon for years on Windows boxes (XP, now 7) and it always worked flawlessly - thus KeeFox would have really deserve five stars. Would.

I'm giving it only one star because it doesn't work at all on Linux (currently Debian 7.2 here). I did try everything I could find in the forum - (re-)installing the complete mono package, trying different mono versions, using KeeFox 1.2.3 instead of the current 1.2.7 and whatnot - everything failed to work. The problem seems to be that there is simply no plugin for KeePass (currently 2.24) which actually does work.

So on Linux, I'm bound to switch to KeePass, copy the username, switch back to Firefox, paste it, switch back to KeePass, copy the password, switch back to FF again and paste a second time. Which means that at the moment, _I_ am doing all the work I installed KeeFox for in the first place. So please either supply a KeePassRPC plugin which actually works.

Or even better: Assemble a decent documentation how to make KeeFox work so one doesn't have to dig through the forums for hours, just to stumble over possible solutions by chance.
Proper documentation is an indispensable and integral part of good coding. Please stop being one of the many idiots who fail to understand this fundamental principle or choose to ignore it.

YouTube Caption Downloader

Disable HTTPS-Everywhere AND don't use https? That's an absolute no-go. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

If this addon intends to force me into not using security measures, I intend not to use this addon.
Simple as that.

One star given only because zero stars aren't possible.

YouTube Enhancer Plus

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Ireally like this addon, works flawlessly for me.
Albeit I'prefer to have a toolbar button which I can put wherever I choose to instead of the grey icon in the lower left corner.

That's why I only rated four stars, because the flexibility to be able to put icons where _I_ want them to have is a must, especially with software like e.g. Firefox.
Anything else contradicts the fundamental concepts of FF & Co.

YouTube Smart Pause

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works great so far!

One question: I'd also like that a Video loads, but doesn't start if I open a new Video in a background tab. Would that be possible?
