The only thing I wish this add-on had is lots of options to customize it, but it looks like the developer is working on it.
Things that would be nice to edit:
- Color/Size of mouse-over area
- Animation time
- Different animations
- Option to force URL bar to stay visible when a page is loading and disable mini bar
- Option to change location of URL bar (above tabs, bottom of page, etc.)
- Thinner, more compact option
- Curvature/Squareness of edges
As it stands it's a really awesome add-on that saves space and looks great doing it :D
If you have a slow internet connection, this add-on is your best friend. Too many times I've had DLs that would time out and stall. This fixes that, and makes them take less time too!
The only thing that prevents me from using it solely apart from FFs own downloader is that sometimes it will download an html of the current webpage, rather than the file I wanted.
I also don't see myself downloading entire pages very often, though I could see how it could be handy for the 1% of the time it's useful at all.
Still my favorite add-on ever...
Stay classy devs.
Not cool man...
Never, EVER steal from an artist w/o permission.
This is beautiful. I absolutely adore acheivmables for all of the obvious reasons.
I only wish there were more options, like fade times, opacity and location, so as to make it a little less intrusive on the screen. Also, an easier way to navigate to the about:cheevos page (like clicking the acheivment maybe?) instead of the button would be nice.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some points to collect...
Very nice add-on. I did find one issue though. If you type an address and, as it loads, try to open a new tab (edit: I just realized, not just open a new tab, but change the focus), the new tab interrupts it from loading at all.
Also some more options would be nice (preferences panel?) like maximum number of new tabs and stuff like that.
Lastly, one of the more annoying things I see when I browse are tabs that are opened from downloads. If you could find a way to kill these and still have the request go through, that would be amazing.
Overall, very nice, simple add-on that does its job very well :D
Love the idea, but more options, including randomizing multiple feeds instead of just one source and a few other tweaks to reduce predictability, would be very nice.
Also, a nice little addition would be the option to see queries in a tooltip rather than displayed next to the icon to save space.
This is the coolest add-on I've seen in a real long time. Who uses the arrow keys anyways? And your left hand just naturally sits right there on the keyboard, so it's extremely functional.
The only issue I've experienced so far is the focus sometimes gets switched to something else, so I'll be pressing the S key to move down a page, only to be brought back up to the top again to a refocused search bar with 'ssssss' typed into it.
Kinda annoying (and it even happens on FF's add-on page) but a fix for that, and perhaps some extra key binding options and it's perfect.
5* all the way!
The one and only theme I use. Just so well done. I've tried others but keep coming back to this one.
Only one thing that really bothered me (a small thing, I know) was the switch from the tab icon being a '+' to whatever it is now. Please bring the plus back!
After tinkering with this add-on for almost a year now, I gotta say it's one of my all time favorites.
One thing to note though, I have a less than stellar internet connection, so whenever I download anything I find myself looking at the download progress bar quite a bit. After a while I realized that it's kinda small and difficult to read/gauge.
I don't know how hard it'd be, but it'd be really awesome if you could make the entire arrow light up and move from top to bottom to simulate progress. Much more visible and looks neater than a small bar at the bottom.
One more thing: there's no option to have text appear only when there's a download. It's either always visible or never there. An option to amend that would be nice too.
Otherwise, this is probably the best add-on functionality-wise. Very useful and customizable and I'm never taking it off of my FF xD
Neat little add-on. I know it's been said before, but some preferences would go a long way. Size and location being the most important, especially since it appears kinda big on my screen and overlaps some scroll bars. Color/opacity would be nice too, though not totally necessary. I really like it though and am definitely looking forward to updates. Serves it's purpose well and highly recommended.
Edit: Wow! After the update, this add-on got really, really awesome! The preference panel feels very polished and well done. There's even pixel horiz/vert shifting. Now that's classy. The only additional thing I can even think of adding would maybe be fade times. Kudos to the dev for taking all the suggestions in stride and delivering!
Edit: Nice! Now the fading is there too. I'm starting to run out of ideas to make it even better, lol. One thing that just came to mind is other ways of representing the progress. Like instead of just percentage, what about decimal/fraction formats? Don't know who'd necessarily want that, but everybody's gotta love options!
Also well worth noting is that even though I didn't get rid of my scrollbar, it's still a nice add-on that I find even more reliable than the bar itself, as it steadily gets smaller and smaller the bigger the page. Just a glance at the number and I've got a pretty good idea of just how much scrolling I'm in for.
Everybody, especially super surfers, should have it :D
I love the things this addon contributes visually. A few requests however.
One: having the alternate location status breadcrumb (the one which shows loading status) editable in terms of color instead of the default blue.
Two: Able to change the colors of certain url elements. The default green, while useful, can get annoying and doesn't even remotely resemble my theme.
While functionality-wise this addon shines, there are a few aesthetic changes still needed in my opinion, mostly involving color customization. Just those two changes would make me a very happy member of the web surfing community.
Keep up the good work!
Heh. Sorry about that. For some reason my eyes must've skimmed that portion about step 10 O.o
Thanks for showing me the error of my ways.
That still leaves me with two more points, however. I don't think the progress chevron is editable if I'm looking at the default template correctly, and I mostly just want to change a few core functions of the dark theme, rather than going through the process of redoing the entire theme.
Regardless I think I can manage and must thank you, the developer, for making an awesome addon worthy of much praise.
Nice! Especially love the download progress bar addition. It does look a little close to the download button for my liking, and maybe a little small, but for what this add-on does, it doesn't bother much.
Perhaps in a future update, maybe have the option of changing the look of the bar itself into a circle around the download button, a little like Chrome's? That would look EPIC in my honest opinion :P
Keep up the awesomeness!
Could use a possible second line on the left side since stretching a flash object may make it move predominately to the right side of the page, though I can see how this may be difficult to implement, and isn't necessary on sites like youtube (since they have their videos on the left) or in full screen, but it still bugs me a little, especially if a site may have a flash object on the right side of the page.
Also, I like the toolbar icon but I wish there was an option to disable it. Amazing add-on otherwise!
