Torqued about RoboForm Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Count me in with the horde of displaced Roboform users. I would not recommend this add-on for reasons that the developer is reneging their commitment to supporting their products to paid users.
My letter to Siber:
I know this is plastered all over the website and the FAQ so please, save me the canned response.
I have 3 paid "lifetime" licenses and have pointed others to your product as a solution to their password management. I, like many other legitimate users, am really really ticked off at the new policies and find the justification to be rather odious. I am a firm believer in the free market, capitalism, and supporting developers who provide quality products. However, I now find myself (and family) as an orphaned/handicapped user with a next to useless implementation (RF Free) and a sorry excuse for fleecing their existing customers.
Whats a matter, Siber? You never thought your program would be that popular, so you over promised on your product to generate sales? Not able to capture enough vertical market, so now you are going to rely on the FF4 transition to justify trying to charge them again, and this time with a bloody subscription service? Improved marketing would've brought more potential customers into the fold, instead you are going to get the inverse as many of the users who feel stiffed by your new licensing scheme due to negative reviews. Interesting how you are going to dance around that in the next few quarter earnings reviews with the venture capital providers.
I am now going to exercise the democratic part of capitalism by voting with my dollar.....elsewhere...Rest assured I will discourage any users who would be potential customers from purchasing your product unless this policy is reversed.
