I have no idea why they thought this was a good idea. First, this just makes the address bar longer. With wide screen monitors it was already very long, not it's not even possible to look at the whole thing. Second, the extra words on the right end of the bar don't look clean at all. Finally, I use the search all the time independently of the address bar. Sure it's useful for searching, but it is also useful to do simple math without changing windows and as a clipboard. If anything, they should make the search bar slightly wider, taking advantage of the extra horizontal pixels of wide screen monitors. Worst of all the change appeared as opt out instead of opt in. If I wanted a Chrome feel I'd use Chrome. Right now the only thing keeping me using Firefox is the old address bar UI and Adblock+.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (12.1-signed).
