My web pages will be better now, since I've found this easy to use tool, that I can use on my local copy of my web sites before uploading them.
Some minor usability improvements could be made:
1) A link from the top to the "more information" section. That section gives summaries by error, and often can avoid the need to visit many of the individual errors. Fixing some of the errors in the summary can be done with one line, that eliminates many instances. This can be more efficient than looking through the errors one by one.
2) While spell checking is very useful for some pages, it is only occasionally useful for pages with lots of names or technical acronyms, that get large numbers of false positives. An idea here would be to have separate threaded lists for validation errors and spelling errors. For an alternate idea, something similar to (3) could be done.
3) Link checking takes a while, especially on some pages in on-line documentation with lots of links to other pages, or worse, if there are lots of links to pages at other sites. An idea here would be that for options that are turned off in the main TV Options page, that buttons on the report page could quickly invoke a revalidation for the corresponding type of issue.
