I probably use about 25% of the buttons that come with this add-on and I love them. I put all of my toggles up on the menu toolbar, and use it in junction with Vertical Toolbar for the buttons associated with customization and with Buttonizer so I have a personal drop-down menu just for my tab controls. I love having the quick access to all the necessary everyday functions I perform with my browser. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.1-signed).
First of all, I am what others might refer to me as a "tabbed power user". I rarely have less than 15 tabs open at any given time. I jump from page to page erratically and sometimes have trouble keeping track of them. Tab Mix Plus is wonderful. When I get enough tabs open, a new row automatically starts so they stay on the same screen. I frequently hyperlink-surf. I'll jump from link to link but still want to read the old page later. I can open links in new tabs by default. I can also add a loading bar to each individual tab to see the progress. I use Tab Mix Plus in junction with Tab Scope, Tab Badge, and AutoClose Tabs in an attempt to keep my tabs under control. I love to customize everything I own to the umpteenth degree and my browser is no exception. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.0.1.1-signed).
I use this toolbar for a lot more than what it is intended for. Since the toolbar can be auto-hidden with a button that comes with it, it tucks away nicely when it isn't being used to save screen real-estate. Because of that, I also store my live bookmarks on the same toolbar. I check all my blogs and then hide them away. I change the settings in the add-on settings to just show buttons so it looks more tidy. I'm not saying that I don't also use StumbleUpon for it's intended purpose. I love finding out about anything that I can.
Sometimes when sitting in art class, trying to overcome a brain-block, I resort to StumbleUpon for something to inspire me. When I can't think of anything better to do I just stumble. I love the chance to brighten my day or find something cool to share with my friends. StumbleUpon has brought me so much happiness!
This is awesome. The only thing that you need to add is the ability to have more than one instance of this button for various toolbars and allow the thumbnail to be customizable
