Evernote is great by itself, but the Clipper makes it phenomenal. The 3-star average rating is largely due to Evernote's slow updates for each new version of Firefox. But, now that it's in my hands, the June 2012 update not only works with Firefox 13+, it's the best clipper yet! Highly recommended. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52437). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Finally, the Firefox plugin is on par with its excellent Chrome counterpart! The prior version mysteriously stopped working after a few Firefox updates, but now the 5.0 version (v184.108.40.206360 as of this review) works well with Firefox 9.0.1 and Waterfox 9.0.
It now features the same great "Clip Article" feature from the Chrome plug-in, which makes me quite happy.
A simply phenomenal extension that allows quick and easy capture, organization, storage and retrieval of any web page or snippet. You'll never use Firefox's built-in "Save As" feature again!
Please keep in mind that this is not a cloud-based service like Evernote or Springpad! However, you can easily sync the scrapbook folder in your Firefox profile.
A good sharing extension, which plays well with my system, and unlike ShareThis it doesn't demand FaceBook privileges. Unfortunately, the list of shared services on the extension page is a bit deceptive. Upon installing it you'll find no support at all for Read It Later and several other excellent services.
Also, it would be greatly preferable if sharing via Delicious (and similar services) triggered a popup window rather than a new tab.
If these are fixed, Shareaholic would get a 5.
