I've written a mail to the author on the 14th Jan *2014* to submit some patch for this add-on but I never got any reply. I'm afraid this add-on is dead and never maintained. I'm thinking about forking it, if possible, and make a new one with bug corrections. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Nice tool, but can be improved better :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This add-on is neat :)
But I have found three problems.
1. When we have two or more Firefox windows, the icons (on the toolbar as well as on the add-on bar) are not "in-phase" among the windows. In other words, we can have the icon on green in one window and on grey in the other window.
2. This problem might be a consequence from the first one above. The "tooltip message" (when we place the mouse cursor on the icon) is always the same on the toolbar which is saying "Proxy is disabled, click to enable", no matter if the icon is green or grey.
3. This might be a consequence from the 2nd one. The tooltip message from the icon on toolbar says "Proxy is disabled" while in the *same* window, tooltip message from the icon on add-on bar says "Proxy is enabled".
Where should we should bug? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Now that Firefox Sync is a part of Firefox 4, QuickFox Notes should try to work better with Firefox Sync.
Just last week, some of my notes were reversed back to versions dated back to a few weeks ago, and this happened without any apparent reason!
Notes disappeared!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Today (9 jan 2011) when I wanted to check a note, I found that all my notes except two are all gone!!Hey, what's wrong with it? I'm pretty sure it's because of the latest update, 2.4A or 2.4B, which caused this problem.Luckily I've another computer in which QuickFox notes hadn't been sync'ed since 1st Dec 2010. Well, I have to lose one month's data, but it's better than losing ALL data.Very disppointing!

No, I've been using "Firefox Sync" since the very beginning.
