Evernote Web Clipper

Still only working, wenn logged in to the Evernote web account Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Firefox 54, Webclipper, macOS Sierra 10.12.5

Still only working, wenn logged in to the Evernote web account and having set the cookie by checking the checkbox "Remind me for 30 days" at the web login pane.

Amazingly even having the Evernote client running, doesn't change that behavior! This is weird: the client is logged in, but Web Clipper doesn't do anything (red dot).

If the cookie isn't set (means, you did not log in to your Evernote web account and set the remind option at the login mask) you will see that red dot on the Evernote icon in the Firefox toolbar.

I'm still asking myself, why clicking on the Evernote icon with the red dot, does not at least open a dialogue on the Evernote website, in order to provide a login interface?

This may one reason why so many people say "it doesn't work".

Evernote Web Clipper

The problem is simple and still not solved Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Whatever browser you use, you have to log in to your Evernote account first.
While add-ons for Chrome and Safari are opening a web form for logging in, the firefox extension just opens an empty tab or an empty window, depending on the settings for Firefox (or extensions like Tab Mix Plus).

In order to get the Evernote Clipper for Firefox to work you first have to go to: https://www.evernote.com/Login.action?targetUrl=%2FHome.action and log in to your account.
This action will set a cookie for Evernote Web Clipper, making it work. After that, you should not delete the cookies.

The problem that seems to exist with Firefox Web Clipper is the fact that it doesn't automatically connect with https://www.evernote.com/Login.action?targetUrl=%2FHome.action when clicked. One has to do that manually. Strangely, Evernote was not able to fix this for such a long time.

Simple Lorem Ipsum

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Seems that this add-on's functionality can only be launched by hotkey. I could not find any configuration options. Obviously, it's always the same paragraph of lorem ipsum that's getting copied to the clipboard.
Sorry, but that's a joke. I can't believe that this ... has found its way to the firefox add-ons repository.
Uninstalled it.

Works nicely with FF 38.0.1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very useful add-on! Version works very well with Firefox 38.0.1 on MacBookPro. I can't follow some complaints about the lack of documentation here. It's actually self-explanatory. Edit the preference of the add-on (show cache content in a new tab or window) in the add-on list, go to customization, drag the icon into the toolbar, you're done.

Browser Turns Editor

Perfectly fits my needs Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a great tool! I use it to store, tweak and annotate tutorials and notes, mostly data created by the scrapbook addon. I save the results as maff files, which are very handy. Browser Turns Editor and Scrapbook is a fantastic combination for my needs. I always wished that scrapbook would have provided real editing functionality. Now this is possible.A huge thank you from my side! Please keep this great tool alive!Michael
