My Reviews

Browsec VPN

This add-on does nothing Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Downloaded this to watch films on the Paramount Vault Youtube channel which is restricted to USA.
This add-on does not allow to select region so is completely useless.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.3).

YouTube Animated Thumbnails

This doesn't do anything Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I installed this to use alongside Youtube+ after I uninstalled Youtube Center (was hogging RAM) and missed the thumbnail animated preview feature it offered.
This doesn't seem to do anything at all. I tried it with Youtube+ and by itself and both times there was no animated thumbnails.

Netflix Plus

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Seems like a great idea for an add on, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work.
I get the toolbar button that links to Netflix, but I don't get the text titles or IMDB links which were the main reasons I installed it.
Running on Firefox 34.0.5

Youtube Subscriptions Grid

Was great but gone a bit glitchy recently... :-/ Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a great add-on. Makes Youtube so much easier to use.
EDIT - There seems to be a problem where have to refresh the page after clicking on the subscriptions tab to make the grid view appear. Also the "load more" button has disappeared, making the grid view almost unusable as I have 150+ subscriptions so can't view all the uploads. Please fix this!!

Youtube Subscriptions Grid

Worked Great but now doesn't work at all :-( Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I would have given this a 5* rating but its recently stopped working. It now does nothing at all. Although I've noticed that other Youtube extensions I use have also stopped working. Maybe they changed their coding to block extensions from working? I also use "Youtube Ratings Preview 1.12" and "Youtube High Definition 7.3" which both seem to have stopped working at the same time.

X-notifier (for Gmail,Hotmail,Yahoo,AOL ...)

Used to be great.... Rated 2 out of 5 stars

... but just doesn't work any more.
The little notification icon just stays grey, regardless of my hotmail inbox status. The X-Notifier no longer notifies. All it does now is take up space on my toolbar. Its been this way for a few months now. Finally getting around to uninstalling and looking for a better alternative.

Glasser

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

If this did the bookmarks toolbar too then I'd love it, but for some reason it makes it look ugly with nasty yellow text on a white background.

SmoothWheel

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This should be standard on Firefox, not an add-on.

Smart Bookmarks Bar

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I really like the idea behind this add-on, but I wish there was a way to have the bookmark name appear as a small pop-up instead of shifting the following bookmarks to the right. It may sound like a silly complaint but depending on the name of the site it can mean that you can't hover over from left to right without missing bookmarks. So if you have a bookmark for Wikipedia and you scroll across it from left to right, by the time your cursor has reach the end of the word Wikipedia, its too far across to pick up the next icon, so it skips to the next one, or even the 2nd one along if the website name is particularly long.
If this was resolved then I'd score it 5/5 straight away. The concept is brilliant but it just needs a little tweaking.
