Finally a crucial part of addressbook is available: intelligent search! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Fantastic! I can't belive this isn't part of the Core or at least a permanently recommended AddOn!
My dearest wish would be to also have Categories (as e.g. the AddOns 'MoreFunctionsForAddressbook' and 'SoGo' add these) displayed and editable. To reuse the multiple choice form field code of Firefox' bookmarks would be most elegant, i guess?
Second, i often want to have a temporal sorting (think of "latest" or "recently active") at hand. For the first, CardDAVs 'last time edited' timestamp of each contact comes in handy.
(The latter need more work, including some requests for conversation statistics...)
Yeah, pretty much ALL of it is broken in 45 Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Two missing stars going to Mozilla here for not communicating - and codeveloping - with the authors.
Obviously, new versions repeatedly demotivated @squashr1979 and @andman42.
Fantastisch! Umfassend und schnell! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Yes, this is the missing bit for a perfect bookmark bar !!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Works as advertized and is very handy. Much more intelligent than pinned tabs.
No restart necessary, wow! Good guy, tynn!
Super! Also for Contacts, please! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Toll!
Great! i can recommend this to any smart hpone user, especially since this can be de-/activated without restart.
- Option to share without description (or with truncated description)
- Also feature QR codes in the address book for transferring contacts.
! Eats up 100MB of RAM ! (but is worth much of it) Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I definitely don't want to live without an Adblocker,
and i appreciate there's an alternative to AdBlockPlus.
However, it should be stated that
== This Add-On eats up ~100MB of your RAM just being there! ==
(ABP makes no difference here.)
Really helping - but should sync!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It's super that still people care about the usability of Thunderbird and this does indeed help. But as long as these tags are not returned to the IMAP-server, it's only half-baked bread.OpenExchange's flags should definitely grow to work in sync with Thunderbird tags! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.35).
Macht mich wahnsinnig Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Could be so elegant, but why believe vertical tabs to be the only element superseding fullscreen mode? C'mon, pleeaze fix this! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.4.1-signed.1-signed). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Instantly a must-have Add-On for the smartphone era! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I often need to transfer a link to my smartphone to read on later or send the link via SMS. Mozilla Sync also transfers open tabs to MY devices, but sometimes i just want to share an open tab with a friend before we quit the session.
QR Code Image Generator does just that without frills - offline and without restarting Firefox! And that means:
All stars, webdevmedia!
Wishlist: I'd like to transfer notes and custom text from the Awesome Bar! HTML text fields aren't suitable as of now.
Wishlist: Maybe a Thunderbird version could transfer events and contacts?
PS.: Cartwheeler: +1. Also looking forward to using context menu instead of the icon.
PPS.: Daminite's problem does not occur for me: Icon stays where i put it after restart.
Verankerung in Lightning statt im Betriebssystem Rated 2 out of 5 stars
What about ThunderLinks withIn Lightning Calendars? Why choose the long way when the good things are so close?
Maybe i don't get it. When Lightning is installed, ThunderLInks should be clickable within Calendars and Tasks, too.
As an important step, the current "conversion" menu option (which copies the email's body) should be overloaded by Thunderbird-Linking.
Halfway usable so far... sorry!
Klarer Kandidat für den Lightning-Core Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Perfect but very Slow Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Why wasn't this feature part of the lightning core from the very beginning?
Thank you, fabrix!
Unbelievable that it took until 2012 for another heroic plugin author to come up with it.
(Sorry, Philipp Kewisch, but your year view was outdated long ago)
Year view shows the necessity of continuous display of multiday events (Bug 199732, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199732).
Unfortunately, i have to say that it takes ages to load a year's data from my servers and render the view. All in all this proofs once more the destiny of the thunderbird project altogether. Not only the codebase, but the whole idea of a communication client needs a complete redesign.
Should be standard behaviour since we have wide screens Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Pano is the only solution for vertical tabs that supports the tab groups of the great native Panorama function!
* At Startup, Pano should load before the current tab loads.
* Also, i miss [Ctrl]-[T] to open the new tab in the selected tab group.
But these are not show stoppers.

Finally! Mozilla has deliberated us from embarrassing Adobe and from getting fat Foxit Reader!
Should have done that 15ys ago...
Simplicissime... Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This one is even simpler than any other solution for vertical tabs - and it keeps most of the others' problems: Still no full screen, no grouping according to native tab groups, etc.)
But at least, it features "no restart", which i appreciate a lot!
Keep going, Joshua! Mozilla needs people trying hard!
More Facts on AMO, please! Relation to AIOS Rated 3 out of 5 stars
If i were you, i'd provide some more information on AMO.
I might prefer Vertical Toolbar to AIOS, esp. when on other people's machines. But i need some comparison facts, e.g. like bloat factor comparison.
Third, i'd like to see this extension work without restarting FF. Impossible?
triggered on marquee ;( Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Trigger your code on [Ctrl]-[K] instead to avoid unnessecary copy&paste processing.
May also add a simple flag to Add-on's preference.
Sync will NEVER be safe. Sync looses Firefox an eye soon. Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I have been using every and any synchronization techniques since Netscape. I was using several computers from the beginning of the internet. And i spent many, many nights sorting and recovering my bookmarks, before Mozilla Weave, with Mozilla Weave, and now with Mozilla Sync.
Today, i once again reached a total of 715 unsorted bookmarks (should be 0) and roughly 30 folders. Duplicates populate my bookmark toolbar. It is not my mismanagement: I tried everything including setting up new Sync Server accounts and new Firefox profiles. They simply fail to compare UIDs or edit dates or whatever.
To the main developers i suggested to leave the original folder of a bookmark when it must be moved to unsorted bookmarks as a comment or keyword. Nothing happened.
If they can't figure this out until 2010, then this code base will not straighten out ever.
Sorry to say that, really, really.
Excellent early bird, might do it on the long run. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks for bringing back Vertical Tabs to FF4.0b - you bring back the most wanted feature since 16:9 displays!
I can clearly understand the goal of staying bare of any options. Keep that goal, but...
yet, i'd also prefer to have them on the right side :) Is it impossible to integrate that choice to the general UI-"Customize..."r?
But, more important and as stated earlier, toolbar should definitely go to the top instead of bottom.
Also looking forward to App Tabs in a row at the top.
