No matter how hard they try to convince me to update my browser, I won't budge off Firefox 3.6 until TabKit is updated. Properly updated.
I'm still using 0.5.12 - the newer version is not as good as the original. (I hate the search box - there is absolutely nothing useful about it, and when moving tabs, it's not nearly as smooth or accurate as it is in 0.5.12)
I've tried a different vertical tab bar, but it just doesn't cut it. I'm stuck in the long-ago land of Firefox 3.6, never to see the wonders of Firefox "anything-else" (sigh) But, just like my Golden Retriever is patiently hopeful at every meal that a juicy steak will fall off the table, I keep waiting hopefully for an update that works...
Would you be interested in creating a similar add-on for coloring the backgrounds, text, etc based on TAGS???? It would really be helpful for those of us who need a good way to make certain tagged emails stand out... and tags (colored text) just doesn't cut it...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.3).
Another user going back to the old version. The "search" tab is an absolutely awful idea... the first thing i did after updating was look for a way to turn it off. When I couldn't find a way, I went back to the old version. I'm all for trying new things, but at least give us the option to try it, don't force it on us...
Of course the writer is free to create any addon he wants, with whatever features he wants, but he also has to give the user a useful, usable addon if he wants it downloaded and used. This "feature" clearly was not wanted or needed.
How many users simply quietly disabled this addon and went to something else when they found they couldn't turn off "search?"
Considering only 1 of every 10 complaints is actually voiced, he perhaps should do some serious thinking about removing this "feature"...
Prior to "search" - 5 stars. After "search" - 3 stars...
