Upgraded to FF 5 and the other plugin I used to switch hosts quit working. This one works great! Have been using it all afternoon with no issue. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed).
Awesome add on. Works great with firefox 5 and thunderbird 5. I've also run it with previous versions with no issues. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.4).
Great add on. I have 2 problems with it. The first is that I cant figure out how to add new hosts to the hosts file using the plugin. So I have to open the hosts file with a text editor to add new hosts. The second is that firefox always opens to a new tab instead of my homepage even though I have it set to load my homepage when it is started. Anybody else experiencing these issues? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52-signed).
Just download HostAdmin https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hostadmin/. Havent figured out how to add hosts through firefox yet but it works great for enabling and disabling IP's in your hosts file. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
This is a very useful plugin. I use it daily as a web developer. Only problem I have is that I lost the menu when I upgraded to Firefox 4. Have to switch back to old tab view to get it back. When is the upgrade coming??
