My Reviews

Self-Destructing Cookies

Deletes ALL cookies on install Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Deleted all my cookies on install, does not give an option to use this "feature" ot not, it just goes ahead and does it and every time I tried the "Suspend and undelete" it kept saying "Still resuming please wait" :'c now I have to re-login to all my sites again.

I'm very wary that this extension will behave as intended considering it just wipes all the cookies out on a NO RESTART first run.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.1).

Extended Cookie Manager

Useful but limited Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This add-on is useful however I find that when I've already blocked some third-party sites it doesn't list them when a site calls for the. Many sites have seemed to "just not work" and it turned out I had blocked a domain, however Cookie Manager wasn't showing it in the list to unblock it.

Overall though it's nice to quickly block and unblock sites rather than trekking through the Tools menu.

Very nice visually however not as compact as it could be considering it's in the compact category. The status bar itself has lots of unused space that could be eliminated to make this look more compact and streamlined.

MR Tech Toolkit

Ironic Isn't it Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This extension was awesome for what it did, however irony is at hand here with the update to Firefox 6.0. The version was capped at 3.7 and there's nothing out there to UNCap this extension so it can uncap other extensions. Therefore it suffers from itself :(
Still for anyone 3.7 and below this is great if your upgrading and want to make compatible all the extensions.

Gmail Manager

Downgrade is better? Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I had to downgrade this add-on from 6.3 to 6 because they added a non-optional new mail pop-up. Annoying features should always be optional.

TwitKit+

Stopped working Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Around April-May the extension totally stopped working. I was hoping for an update by now considering I was reading that many other extensions were having similar problems. The problem is: Java Error: Twitter API, Request Failed: TwitterAPI may be down.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled this extension and are even using the beta to see if that fixed it. Nothing. Lest to say I have moved on to a different Twitter program.

TwitKit+

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Somewhat improved over Twitkit.
Please have an option to remove the 140 character truncation. Twitter supports tweets over 140 characters.

Twitkit+ also defaults to JP encoding if installed :/ Maybe have an option to select encoding.

Twitbin - Twitter Sidebar for Firefox

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Would not let me post past 140 characters (despite twitter supporting this)
Is basically ad-ware. You will have ad tweets on the side and be nagged to "upgrade to pro". Twitkit+ does the same thing and doesn't nag...
