Noia 4

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Not sure what the problem was but I uninstalled the Noia addons and installed them again and it is now displaying correctly.

It even remembered the settings I had before reinstalling so not sure what part of that fixed it.

All good now anyway :)

Hi Aris

I have just updated to the latest version 1.3.6b and there is a funny bug with the multirow view of tabmixplus which wasn't there on my previous version.

Any idea?

Thanks

I've just installed 1.1.7 again to see the difference and it wasn't changed to be being bold on mouseover, it is just the blue highlight is now missing on the new version.
I may have configured a setting wrong or something but here are some screenshots to show what I mean.

Old version with blue highlight on mouseover:

New version with no highlight:

I have version 1.2.4.1 installed and everything looks great!
Multirow works fine with TMP with "Fix toolbar in tabbar" on or off.

Is there an option to stop inactive tabs from getting bold title when you mouseover them?
Or making it do same for inactive tabs that have useen updates? (red title)

BitTorrent WebUI

Updated version Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I downloaded your source and updated for FF4 and added a function so that middle clicking the status bar icon opens the web ui page directly.

Now the add on is perfect for me :)

If anyone wants it like that, the newer version is available here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bittorrent-webui-120685/

Thanks Aris, you have done very well with this addon!

The rounded menus bug is fixed with the latest version and the menu options show in the correct colours. One thing I did notice though is that when you have rounded menus enabled there is no black border around the selected menu item like there is without rounded menus. It's no problem, but it makes the selection box look a little washed out.

Great work so far!!

You were right, I changed to a clean profile and the menu's showed fine.

However, if I turn on the round dropd menu option then the problem returns again.I did notice on my old profile that I had round dropdown menus whether I had that option turned on or off so it must be that that is causing it but I'm not sure why that option is permanently on with my old profile.

Update: The bug was an import line in my userChrome.css it must have been left over from the original noia options. when I commented that out the rounded menus went away.

Can this function be taken off in TMP? I' look at this.
Could you try a clean FF profile an report back? I've tested this on Win7x64/Win7x86/WinXPx86 on FF4 and don't have that issues."

I have disabled the TMP extension and the menus still appear the same.

difference in the tab loading
Are you using some special addon like fission? Try v1.1.2 I changed something on tabs, maybe this is fixed for you."

Oh looks like it wasn't the theme that was adding the loading bar but TabMixPlus addon.

"And also the menus"
Thats strange. That bug was fixed before I released Noia 4. I do not have this bug neither on Win7 nor on XP. Can you provide some more specs from your system and you firefox. Are you using Linux/Mac OS?"

I am using Windows 7 with Firefox 4.0. No special addons that affect appearance other than this theme and TabMixPlus

Here are the screens to show the difference in the tab loading:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37057/loading-old.jpg
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37057/loading-new.jpg
As you can see the loading icon on the left is different and the progress bar does not go through the middle of the tab.

Also the options pages have quite a different colour scheme from before:

And also the menus:

"Multirow tabs are not supported by FF4 by default, are they? It tried to enabing them with TabUtil. and you are right they disappear when tabs not on top and overlay with toolbar when tabs on top, BUT on original FF4 theme they overlay too (tabs on top) or look ugly (tabs not on top). I don't know why they just disappear, when I find the error I'll try to fix it."

I use TabMixPlus to change the tab views and if I use the Noia-Fox theme the multi-row function works perfectly so it must be possible to fix.

I don't have a screenshot of the tab loading bars atm (might be able to get one from an older browser at home) but currently the loading bar is shows as a thin progress bar on top of the tab but with the original Noia them the progress bar was a blue bar that came up in the middle of the tab. I will try and get a screenshot tonight.

Thanks for update 1.1.0 !!
With this version you have fixed points 1 & 3 raised in my last review!
Now if only I could see all the tabs in multi-row view....

Is it possible to make the loading bar in the tab look the same as the original noia theme?

Thanks for this, great development so far.
Currently I have three bugs that I've noticed:

1) Tabs in addon options not showing correctly.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37057/tabmix-noia4.jpg <- bad
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37057/tabmix-noiafox.jpg <- good

2) When you have a multirow view selected for the tab bar it only shows one row of tabs.

3) There is no drop down arrow for multiple back locations.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37057/back-noia4.jpg <- bad
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37057/back-noiafox.jpg <- good

Hi this noia remake is looking pretty good so far and seems to be one of the best.

I have an issue with some of the addon menus that don't show their tabs/buttons correctly that could be fixed.

Here is an example of TabMixPlus option menu with your skin:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37057/tabmix-noia4.jpg

And an example of what it should look like:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37057/tabmix-noiafox.jpg

As you can see there is no way to tell which option tab you are on in that menu.

Also, when you have a multirow view selected for the tab bar it only shows one row of tabs.

Noia Fox

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Thanks David, this seems like the closest assimilation of the Noia theme of the ones I've tried so far.

Just a couple of changes would make it perfect for me.

One would be to add the text back to the bookmarks on the bookmarks toolbar (would be great as an option)

Second would be to not have the tabs as complete ovals but just oval the top of the tabs and have them come straight down to the page.

Otherwise... best so far, thanks!

ReminderFox

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works quite well and I like the ability to customise the extra to-do lists you want to use.
I mainly use that to maintain lists of videos I want to see or games I want to get which I can match to their release dates and such.

Only problem is that it keeps crashing on me at certain times which freezes firefox completely and I have to restart it.
