Firefox 2.0 Classic Theme for Firefox 3.0

Excellent but needs more work ;) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is the best FF2 theme I've seen so far. It doesn't have the (for me completely worthless) "+" sign for New Tab and that's great.

I just wish it could fix the new (FF3.5) URL box. I don't like the large site logo, the yellow background, the silly Favorite star -- just unnecessary clutter and diversion. Note that the old screenshot here doesn't show this correctly.

If Einsiedlerkrebs is still working on this theme (looking at how last update is June 2008) I hope that the old simple and sweet URL box can be resurrected.

Anyways, props for already a job well done. I don't see any visual glitches or functionality bugs. And the FF2 design simply rocked. (Funny how all major players have gone the same route. Too bad.)

Firefox 2, the theme, reloaded

Not totally "FF2-simple" Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works flawlessly.

But it's not completely FF2: Navigation Toolbar's URL box is the new one with the (1) yellow background, (2) the large site logo, and (3) the Favorites star. I want to get rid of those and can't turn them off so I'll try some other theme.

Also, the (4) "+" tab for New Tab doesn't fall in with how I tend to open tabs -- I seem to always open tabs from a link or list, and use new windows for blanks -- so I want to get rid of that too.

This is just a small note to anyone looking for a 100% pure FF2 experience, the last really uncluttered and efficient browser interface. Putting my minor caveats aside, this is a high quality theme. Kudos!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.7).

Good job Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Nice, and keep up the good work, but please refrain from calling simple uncluttered backgrounds "dull". To me the art matters more than the frame it's in. xD

But in its class your theme is solid: no small errors, no glitches -- well done. Recommendable as such.
