Is this add-on supposed to work in Firefox 13? When using it with this version I have the problem that the tabs don't have any background (i.e. the background is completely transparent making the text hard to read). Popups such as the context menu and tooltips also have no background but a huge black border. The Firefox menu only has a background on its right half.
This only happens in Firefox 13 on my Windows machine. I also have a Linux machine with Firefox 12 set up where the problem doesn't appear. Both profiles are synced via Firefox sync.
EDIT: Said nothing. I had tried a development release which didn't solve the problem and then went back to the latest reviewed version which of course also had the problem. Now after some time I discovered there is an even newer unreviewed version which works like a charm. :-)
Still the best looking theme, but no folder icons for folders in the bookmarks toolbar anymore (since the last one or two versions). Folder icons in the bookmarks dialog, however, are fine.
System specs: Gentoo Linux AMD64
Could you please make the search from optional (e.g. provide a checkbox in the settings to turn it off)?
It destroys my current Firefox skin. Thank you.
Could you please add an option to disable Google Instant permanently? That's the greatest bug Google has ever declared as a feature, I hate that and even though I disabled it it's always turned on again after restarting Firefox. Quite annoying. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.78.1).
Just wanted to write an Add-on that does domain highlighting but then I found your great Add-on that also does exactly this and a lot more. Brilliant! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.3).
Fancy design but unusable slow. I couldn't find out whether it provides the features I need because it took my complete CPU and broke down Firefox each time I tried to open Twitbin in the sidebar so I had to kill my browser. Twitbin does not take a lot of RAM but far too much CPU. Don't use it if you have just an one core CPU!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.7).
Works great, but since Google has addes prevention against automatic logins this Add-on as well as its brother Google Reader Notifier can't login automatically.
I stumbled upon the problem by myself because I use Secure Login so I just have to click onto a button and the login data are sent but since a while sometimes I am too fast so Google assumes I were a bot and shows me a captcha which I have to fill out to login correctly. When I wait a while instead I can login without captcha.
So it could be the solution to request the page and to wait as long as a human would take to fill out the form before submitting it.
Just my two cents.
After a time of avoiding Wizz I decided to give it a second chance because the other feed readers are not better.
I think I will keep Wizz but there's one thing very important what has to be changed. Please DO improve the feed watcher! I await from a good feedreader, that it looks up for new feeds in the background so I think, the watch list does not make any sense, instead Wizz should check ALL feeds by default, except I say, that specific feed shall not be checked automatically. Also it should be possible to specify individual time intervals for lookup (to decrease traffic on feeds that are not refreshed very often).
Presently I've added all my feeds to the checklist but that brings down the performance because Wizz checks all feeds simultaneously. Please implement a configuration setting to set how many feeds are checked at the same time (e.g. just two). This will increase Wizz' speed and the user does not get annoyed by a frozen Firefox while Wizz is looking up for new feeds because these are checked one after the other.
Pretty good Add-on. Awesome and much better than the overloaded WizzRSS Reader!
The only thing I have to criticize is that you don't use the real sidebar. I also use the All-in-One sidebar and added the Brief button to its buttons field and now it would be great if it would use the real sidebar. Please change this in future versions. Therefore only three stars, otherwise you'd get five!
Great extension, thank you!
Carry on developing it and nominate it for public use. :-)
Useful improvement: the skip button should be a dropdown button so I can also choose directly which one I want to see.
Headr Toolbar is a good Extension. It's very helpful for searching in the internet but the following is missing/not correct:
- The toolbar should be disabled on https sides (see: Sogame's review)
- A link to headr.com so that I don't have to bookmark that website.
- I can't login with the login dialog. I can only register a new account but when I want to login with my account I get the message "Fault username or password". So I must login on headr.com, then it works.
