My Reviews

iPox

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Almost excellent. was about to let out a cheer upon installing this. Then I get to the background behind book marks and get the let down. why include diagonal lines behind bookmarks? That is NOT easy to read. The rest is very good.

Feedly - Beyond Google Reader

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent product. Don't know why I waited so long to install it. Use it with mouse gestures and you can move between articles with just a mouse slide. Only complaint: Does not highlight searched for terms when returned. Have to do a second page search to find where in an article a term shows up.

LastPass Password Manager

Excellent- Must have add on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have been using LastPass for over a year now and works great. except for a few sites that use a java type? or script? (guessing) login window I've had no trouble. I discarded Roboform a long time ago, it was the hands down leader in password mgmt until LastPass. and still can't believe it's free.

Adblock Plus

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

installed on new pc after having used it previously. I had forgotten how much AdBlock blocks all that crazy flickering advert. This is a must have add-on.

Gmail Manager

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent add-on. I use thunderbird on my PC and Gmail Manager on my laptops. This is perhaps the most useful add-on yet for email. Might have to make a contribution on this one. now if they could include yahoo, aol, and windows live accounts that would be the ultimate.

Fast Search by Surf Canyon

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

clearly they are trying to add value but i don't find it useful. actually seems to slow me down. I can think of several ways that a search could present better results without refocusing my attention, such as posting optional results off to the side and not as indentations within the current list. not recommending as a needed add-on unless your not finding results with regular searches and want to try something new.

Search Cloudlet for Google, Yahoo and Twitter

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

excellent program. now using it instead of tweetdeck or twirl for Twitter searches since it's much faster and more intuitive. doesn't support Bing search engine yet. future? twitter search speed alone is worth the install.

Web of Trust - WOT

Useful, Not a high priority like installing antivirus, but a keeper Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Useful tool, I think I'll keep it. I read the negative reviews so had to look more closely. There is something beneficial in this program. Maybe it's not perfect, sorry but no tool is. My guess is 95%+ of all websites are safe. If WOT gives a warning, and it's not a site you MUST visit, just skip it, problem solved. Trust is a matter of perception not always quantifiable but WOT seems to do a decent job with it's algorythm. I would like to know more from people who have gotten false positives i.e. WOT says it's safe but you get hacked etc with a virus than from people who are complaining about it not being perfect. Tks to WOT support for addressing negative reviews. Helps us all understand what your giving us

Send Later (old)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a very useful (even required) add-on. not sure why I had some issues installing on my laptop running vista. But It's running now and works well. Did you know you can send emails to Ping.FM ? Using SendLater to schedule tweets to Ping is the solution to managing twitter and other posting sites. This is the only tool I've seen that will do this. Very Cool.

Azerty 'mail

very nice theme, always know when I have one I like cause I don't look any others. makes thunderbird stand out.

Mouse Gestures Redox

ReminderFox

got it working now Rated 3 out of 5 stars

ReminderFox

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

has alot of promise but seriously messed up my thunderbird account. be very careful installing this with "Provider for Google". Somehow reminder fox could not accept sharing with the google calendar and the program blew up. Worst part is I can no longer uninstall reminderfox or Provider for Google Calendar and email is now totally fkd. Hate to say this but will try Opera mail since it looks like Thunderbird has to be reinstalled. carp. I can't be the only one that had this problem.
