Theme Font & Size Changer for ThunderBird

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I attempted mrx2020's fix. I have the latest Thunderbird. When I went to the Add-Ons Manager and checked the page for Theme Font & Size Changer, it said "THUNDERBIRD USERS PLEASE SWITCH TO THE NEW THUNDERBIRD VERSION BY BELOW URL:"
I went there, but it said "Not compatible with Firefox Quantum. This add-on is not available on your platform" and would not let me right click on "add to Firefox" to download the .xpi.
I smelled a typo, so I edited the URL to be -- Extracting this, I did see bootstrap.js.
I edited bootstrap.js like the instructions said, NOTE! You have to comment out the lines with //, NOT ## like in HTML! then PeaZipped it (an xpi is just a zip file, you change the extension from .zip to .xpi) I literally did name it whatever.xpi. Then did an Install From File in Thunderbird and it appeared to install successfully. Yay! I then restarted Thunderbird. Be sure to delete the old, non-working Theme Font & Size Changer in Add-Ons after doing this.

If you don't use // for commenting out the lines, it will act like it installs just fine, but you won't be able to see it. Be sure to use // !!

NOTE: We users should not have had to do any of this.

All Fall by MaDonna

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like to change my themes with the seasons. This theme evokes the feeling of autumn while your tabs and menus and everything are still readable. I've left it on, well, all fall! Thank you. Another work of real art by MaDonna.

Personas Plus

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

What I really like to do is change the appearance of my browser with the seasons. There's so much great art to do these customizations. I wish I could do this with Thunderbird as well. Also, bring back the bottom add-on bar. I always ran my weather and Personas Plus with the little fox guy from the add-on bar, and it made it so much easier to operate. Thank you!

Weather Extension

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have used several Firefox weather add-ons in the past. This is the easiest to read and configure. Nice plain temperature reading on the bar. Get your weather reports in nice large clear type, hour by hour. One click gives you complete, detailed info. I suggest customizable colors. Thank you!

Weather Extension

Clear design, has what I need, a bit pricey Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I was a big fan of ForecastFox and the Weather Underground add-on. However, with the recent changes, both of these add-ons cause serious problems navigating eBay's website for some reason. I suspect they do it with other websites too that I haven't noticed. I had to disable them and install this.
I'm pleased with the clean, clear, easy to read design. I expect that the ability to choose different weather stations in your area is part of the pay version?, along with being able to choose different towns to look at. I also vote for the color changing temperature icon.
I'm less pleased with the costly upgrade. (Tim, you should change the "all for the price of a coffee" part, coffee doesn't cost $10.) When I tried to get the free upgrade my browser crashed, so I assume that's over with.
I'm sorry that features that are basic on a lot of weather add-ons are only available by paying $$, but times are hard and it's clear you put a lot of work into this; if people are willing to pay $10 for it, then go for it. Good luck!

Weather Underground (Forecast Plus)

v0.2.3 still stuck at color wheel for 10 day forecast Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm very fond of Weather Underground & love having it as an add-on. Other than the fact I cannot get the 10-day forecast to load (color wheel just spins around) it is a great add-on to Firefox, and I'm sure they're working on it.

Video DownloadHelper

Disappeared from my navigation toolbar Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was using this great add-on just fine until today when I discovered it had vanished from my navigation toolbar. I go to Configure to put it back, it's not shown in the options. I rebooted Firefox several times, still nothing. I try resetting to defaults and putting everything back how I want it, it's still not there. I uninstall and reinstall it, it still doesn't show in the navigation toolbar or anywhere else. The secret seems to be disable and re-enable in the Add-ons menu. Then it will show up in the options for Configure and you can just put it back in the navigation bar. Not sure why this worked. I did update Java and Flash before trying this, but I didn't think they had anything to do with this plug-in.

Fighiting Illini

Awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A simple effective theme that takes me back home. I am native on my dad's side and actually he and I both like the Indian logo and the name "Fighting Illini". Thank you.

I kept this on my browser all winter long. Thank you.

Mail Redirect

"Incompatible with version 13.0.1"? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm giving Mail Redirect 5 stars for my experience with it on my laptop, where it runs like a dream. I have been unable to install it on my PC, however.

Both the laptop and PC have the latest Thunderbird, 13.0.1, auto-updated. When I try to install Mail Redirect on T'bird on the PC, however, it says "Mail Redirect could not be installed because it is incompatible with version 13.0.1."

The only difference between these two machines is that my laptop is running Vista Home and the PC is running WinXP Pro SP3.

If the problem is the operating system, why doesn't it say so? This is really frustrating.

Please advise.

Forecastfox Weather

Larger more colorful displays are not improvements. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I'm a big fan of color, but for some reason the big colorful displays in the new Forecastfox put me off. I feel like this useful tool has been redesigned to appeal to preschoolers or something.

Part of the problem is that the pop-ups are too big. They cover up too much of the screen. And I don't know whether it's my computer or what, but the actual text is in very small type and is hard for me to read.

I have reverted back to old reliable I wish an alternative version using the old display could be made available with the modern bug fixes and actual improvements.

Forecastfox Weather

Flaming thermometer icon? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I took one look at the new Forecastfox and immediately downgraded back to Everything's running just as it did before except for one thing; on very hot days I no longer see the "flaming thermometer". On my other computer, where I never installed the upgrade, the thermometer still shows. And believe me, out here right now it's appropriate. We just had the hottest day on record for this area! Can you tell me how to get the icon back? I checked, and I am using the same icon set ( Iconic) on both machines. Jay
