My Reviews

FireDownload

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Simply does not work. Downthemall is more than 15 times faster. 128KBS vs 2.5MBS You be the judge.

Extra Fasterfoxx

Startup is better, but Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Firefox does seem to start faster, though I'm on a fresh install of Vista. But it seems the websites are loading the same speed.

Adblock Plus

Should Realize entire domains are advertisements! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I agree with the other reviewer that this fails to block a great deal of what I encounter on the internet. You'd think you could block popups by blocking the domain. Also, where the hell is the right click option on webpages? If I get a "gaming site" popup I want to be able to right click that webpage and select block this site.

Web of Trust, WOT: Website Reputation Ratings

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

What's the point of having the option to "ignore this warning", "this site is safe I want to rate it", but not the option to leave it permanently? Seems like a nobrainer. How about letting us click the ratings in google search results for our own reference instead of having to log in and rate the darn site?

Custom Google Search

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

You get 5 stars for concept, but 2 stars for performance. The blacklist doesn't appear to work. Plus is only lists *.google.com/* as the "website pattern that will be added"; obviously, I'm not going blacklist the google domain.

Secondly, clicked the remove icon (circle with the line drawn through it) has no effect.

So, other words, impossible to exclude websites from custom searching.

Sorry this did not work out, as it is an admirable attempt to do something really good.

Snapper

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately, it changes the colors of my images from the normal white webpage background to solid black.

Lunapic Image Edit

Fantastic. You can even send the finished image to imageshack if you want.

AvantGarde Rosepetal

Does this pink theme make me look fat? Very nice. Got tired of the overkill with the dark themes that strained my eyes and tried this just as a test. It's whole lot more attractive. Job very well done. Thanks.

DownThemAll!

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Would be nice if the added ftp support, which required entering login and password information. Firefox is natively not compatible with FTP sites (yes, I've tested it multiple times on multiple sites).

Linkification

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic. I went to some page that I knew were all text links and thought something was wrong because there weren't any text links to use this on. Duh! It automatically made the text clickable! Thankyou!

Search btjunkie.org - Quick right click functionality

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Can this be edited as IMDB search needs fixing as you mentioned in your review. How to edit this? Thanks.

FireDownload

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Not worth switching from Downloadthemall because you cannot select where to download stuff. Downloadthemall is still the king, though it could use a sort by name function.

DownThemAll!

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Impossible to reach bug site, so hope their reading these. Great program. BUT every download accelerator I've ever tried allowed me to sort downloads by name.

Also, this is a HUGE resource hog. Firefox already uses over 330MB of my ram, but when DLTA is running my system really slows down. Crysis couldn't slow my system down FCOL!

No way to limit bandwidth is another problem.

NewTabURL

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Same problem as New Tab Homepage. Open any history link in a new tab and it will only load your homepage (my default link of choice).

New Tab Homepage

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice addon. Just one problem. It resets everything when you close firefox and reopen it so that your tabs don't get restored. Have to disable til that gets fixed.

AnyColor

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Would be super if you added a way to change font color in a webpage. I've always wanted to change the visited links color as they are way too faint in firefox.

Very nice default appearance. Brown, not so much.
