upselling is not in the spirit of firefox extensions Rated 1 out of 5 stars

blech!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.1.617).

Uploadr for Flickr

one star for being a windoze tard? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

vista is not an upgrade, tard.. remove that log cabin from you eye this is a great extension

pidder

why is online storage better than local workstation?? Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Interesting idea, but why should users trust a third party host? (setting aside alleged encryption prior to upload)

"Secure Login", another firefox extension, stores said information locally.

Is this a "secure" as RSA-style key 'escrow'?

https://www.pidder.com/en/clever.html

It might be clever but 'more' was misleading. Is there more-more prior to completing the signup process??

No way to test dropbox feature without risking two euro money units.

A Bit Better RTM

newer extension nipping at your toes -- but activeinbox is greyware Rated 5 out of 5 stars

RTM makes gmail seem a little less evil

ActiveInbox, firefox extension greyware (upselling), https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3209/ , is nipping at RTM toes.. beware but be not afraid

competition is good for the f/OSS free market ;) But upselling greyware will die in the the light of mozilla community

Aviary Screen Capture & Quick Launch (Talon)

removing "inconvenient" critical reviews"? tsk tsk Rated 4 out of 5 stars

now that aviary seems to have changed their license model (wisely not charging end users) it's a bit more useful, but can be resource intensive in certain fox configurations. IMO aviary stood little chance of stamping out GIMP use.

drop.io has integrated/licensed aviary as has worth1000.com... two excellent uses of aviary. However, use of the latter frequently tosses a plethora of vague errors few of which yield useful search engine query results.

aviary seems to live in amazon aws perhaps soon to offer free user storage as drop does.

hopefully aviary will not suffer amazon cloud-lock-in.

HOPEFULLY:
Aviary's vector tool would do well to offer output in OpenType PS ;)

HOPEFULLY:
Aviary will offer user-custom layer blend modes as photoshop should have offered at least five versions ago :D !

Imgur Uploader

meh Rated 2 out of 5 stars

the ImagBot extension already supports Imgur... as well as photobucket and (preferably) imageshack.us

Secure Sanitizer

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

FUD

This can NOT erase *all* data from an ATA drive -- nor can any similar "erase software". Here are a few terms with which to familiarize yourself:

Device Control Overlay
Host Protected Area
G-List

^ Not a complete list.

Use a RAM drive for cache. Problem solved.

The only way to ensure data destruction on an ATA drive is to DESTROY the drive itself.

X-notifier (for Gmail,Hotmail,Yahoo,AOL ...)

hopefully the the arms race of features vs usefulness will end favorably soon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This has always been a must have extension. I was delighted to see increased support for other webmail providers. It was novel to have label/folder support as well.

However, when right clicking the status bar icon and clicking on a given yahoo account it is not helpful to not-login. Insteal clicking on an account dumps me at the yahoo login: mail.yahoo.com

Interestingly.. occasionally the 'default' account for a webmail flavor will login when clicked from the status bar icon context menu. Rarely will non-default, not-autochecked accounts be logged in.

I have created a new firefox profile, installed the minimal security extensions, and webmail notifier and this zero functionality persists. I have little interest at this time in testing the single extension in a new profile -- though when less tired and irritate one day I might.

According to anther review here reverting to version 1.55 (hopefully implied firefox 3.x) increases login reliability.

I do, however, earnestly appreciate the effort of the developer. His forward thinking years ago adding user script to add other email providers is commendable. Being an advocate of defending privacy, extremely antigeoip location, extremele anti-invase ads, and whatnot I am unwilling to donate through the paypal system. Setup a PO box or similar and I'll send some money in thanks.

I remain hopeful that the problems created (?) by expanding the feature set will be eventually resolved. However now I use Secure Login to more easily access the multitude of yahoo accounts I manage.

I leave the rating at five stars because this IS an EXCELLENT extension in concept and (historic) value.

DownThemAll! AntiContainer

great potential Rated 5 out of 5 stars

rtsp?

I would prefer that these features NOT be integrated into dta and that it be left as an extension's extension, much the same way as element hiding helper is for adblock plus.

Has development on this halted? I would like to see it escape the sandbox

ScribeFire Classic

move away from creepy tracking Rated 4 out of 5 stars

beacons and "monetization" an UNwelcome addition.

the WYSIWYG editor started out quirky... even through major versions...

but it does make blogger.com blogging suck less

wordpress API tie ins make image uploads to wordpress a snap! awesome!

It would be delightful to post the same article to multiple blogs simultaneously

Webmail Ad Blocker

good way to block not-good stuff Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Instead of searching out current GreaseMonkey UserScripts.. instead of fiddling with AdBlock Plus element hiding... instead of toying with Platypus or yarip...

I favor WebMail Ad Blocker!

nzbdStatus

great stuff Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Use .10 in fx3.5, a version for fx3.0.x, and another version for fx2.0. Hopefully it will stay api updated for all three versions of fx

..... I wish there was a feature to drag an RSS to the status bar and feed to SABnzbd+
