Password Toggler - view input passwords

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does what it should do, no problems.

Ripper, Dipper!

Local Filesystem Links

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work any more, moreover it freezes pages randomly, even when it's not doing anything.

smartUp Gestures

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Finally a gesture add-on that works well on FF 57! Well done
The settings UI could use some work. For examnple, on the tab where you choose the gestures to control the actions, you have to hover to see the gesture. It would be much better if all the gestures were displayed, so you could see which gestures were being used and for what. Hovering just adds needless steps that make it tedious to configure. And that's true for quite a fgew other things, where you've gone for clever, but pointless UI tricks, like animation etc, but not focussed on making it simple and easy to use.

Bing- DDG

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Pleeeeease make this compatible with the newest version of FF!

As a stopgap I made this TamperMonkey / GreaseMonkey user script that does the redirection. A bit slower than the extension, but it does the job: https://github.com/stibinator/bing-DDG

uBlock Origin

It screws up Ebay for me. Whitelisting doesn't work, to use the site I have to disable the plugin. Despite that it is still worth having.

Foxy Gestures

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This surpasses FireGestures in some ways, the configuration page is well thought out, and the user scripts option is great. However the context-menu thing on OSX is a dealbreaker at the moment. The whole point of gestures is ease of use, and that doesn't happen if you have the context menu in your way all the time.

I hope the devs can fix it before firegestures stops working.

Bing- DDG

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This and Edge Deflector is now on the list of things that I install first whenever I'm setting up windows. When it works it's seamless.

If I could take off half a star I would though, because there are a couple of little gripes. Firstly, it doesn't work if FF isn't running the first time you use it, meaning FF opens with bing results. Refreshing the page fixes it, but it's an annoyance.

Also I'd like to second the request for changing the behaviour so it doesn't connect to bing first, not just because of the speed issue, but also for privacy. Windows is too invasive as it is without keeping an eye on my searches as well.

Secure Password Generator

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The most recent update took it backwards in terms of useability. For e.g. Currently the default PW length is 10 characters. That's NOT ENOUGH for this tinfoil hat wearer! Please let me set my default options and have them persist. You lost a star there. Also Please make it work for non-pw fields as others have mentioned.

Dramatically improves the appearance of any Australian news-related website. Now if only it replaced the text with "Mr Rabbit"

PDF Plugin for Firefox on Mac OS X

You can tell how good this add-on is by the fact that its users are offering money to the developers for a FF4 upgrade. This add-on just works

really really good. The art keeps getting better, and I'm really glad to be rid of all the advertising. The kids like it too.
