This add-on is definitely the best thing I installed in my Firefox within the last few months. Ever since Flash spread on the Internet, I hated it. Because Flash is one of the big nuisances on the Internet: nagging ads with sounds. On top of that, it makes contents inaccessible, eats up resources and is a major security risk. In other words: Flash is the fecal matter that comes out of the brains of web designers who are idiots and never heard of usability or security.
With this add-on, finally on YouTube I don't have to rely on the crappy Flash player anymore. This is evolution. And hopefully one day, Flash will disappear completely from the Internet.
Rocker gestures still not properly working :-(This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.6). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
This add-on is not being maintained through the Mozilla site anymore. You can get the latest version on mousegestures.org.This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Advertised as working with FF4.0. But in fact, it's not working at all with FF4.0. Any settings have no effect. The referrer is still sent. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.14).
Not properly working with FF4. There is no movable icon. So if you don't use the add-on bar, it's unusable. FIREFOX 4 UI FIXER is NOT a fix, because it doesn't let you move single icons, only the whole add-on bar. This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
It's ok for FF3.6, but useless in FF4 if you're not using the add-on bar. Unfortunately, there is no button/field that you can drag to a location where you want to have it.
Indispensable for Ubuntu users. Very handy. Love it! Thanks!
Lately I gave Sync another shot. But even after such a long time, Mozilla failed to sort out it. So, of course I stay with Xmarks. Not only because it actually works flawlessly, but also because I love its functions. And the web interface for accessing your bookmarks from anywhere is one big reason why I love Xmarks. As a regular traveller, it comes in handy very often. Thanks for your great work. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.9.8). This user has 3 previous reviews of this add-on.
The now built-in Sync add-on in Firefox 4 is still the same useless piece of crap as before. It simply doesn't work properly, messes up your bookmarks (they randomly disappear or get mixed up) and is a pain in the ass as for usage. There is not progress bar, no status indication or whatsoever that tells the user if his data has been synced or not. So when using this, you'll never know if your data has been synced or not. You might close your browser on one computer and open a browser on another computer, just to learn that Sync has messed it all up and half of your stuff is missing. If you want to play the testing guinea pig, go ahead. But then always create a manual backup of your bookmarks, too. Use at your own risk. Hopefully Mozilla will sort it out in the future. Because I really would like to use the built-in function instead of another add-on. But as long as it doesn't work, I prefer to stay with Xmarks. Btw, Sync also lacks a web interface from which users can access their bookmarks from any browser or internet café respectively. That's another major criteria that keeps me using Xmarks. Anyway, Mozilla needs to put more effort in Sync. It was a really bad idea to make it built-in in this totally crappy stage of development. Sync isn't beta version. This is alpha stage at best. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7). This user has 4 previous reviews of this add-on.
Very handy and useful. Great add-on!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.0). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Can you add a forwarding email service? For example, tempomail.fr provides a forwarding service to your real email address for a specific choosable time frame (4 hrs up to 1 month). This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.2).

Awesome! This is the best tab add-on ever. I love how one can adjust all the mouse actions. Virtually all combinations of usage habit are possible to set in preferences. A must-have in your add-on collection. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.9.9.1).
It is a very handy tool. Not only can it check your bookmarks or find duplicates, but also can it compress your bookmarks database. A must-have.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.4.1).
Beware! This add-on DOES NOT WORK! After a re-install of my OS and FF, the Sync add-on 'synced' my bookmarks. After that, half of them were gone. Totally useless add-on! Fortunately, I made a backup before I re-installed. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.1). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
With the update it works well now. But still, I miss things I had with Xmarks, such as access to my bookmarks via web interface. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
If you have problems after the update:
1. In case your Firefox is blocked by an Xmarks pop-up: Restart Firefox and quickly go to your add-on list. Then disable add-on Xmarks and restart.
2. If you use NoScript, go to 'Options' > 'Whitelist' and allow xmarks.com and add googleapis.com to the list
3. If you use RequestPolicy, go to Preferences > Whitelist and add xmarks.com in 'Origins', and add googleapis.com in Destinations
4. In NoScript, choose 'Allow Scripts Globally'
5. Re-enable Xmarks and restart Firefox.
6. Now sync your bookmarks with Xmarks. If Xmarks asks to login, enter your login data for your Xmarks account.
7. In NoScript, switch back to 'Forbid Scripts Globally'.
Everything should work again.
So, there's no status icon anymore? Too bad, I just got interested in trying this add-on. A missing status icon makes it useless. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
Beef Taco is very nice. But the update now brought an entry with icon in the Tools menu. And it cannot be switched off. Please, make it optional or drop it altogether. If I want to view the cookies, I also can install another add-on, e.g. cookie button. I don't want my Tools menu getting cluttered without the option to turn off the entry or at least the icon. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.0).
A very good add-on that puts an end to requests going on behind my back. It needs a certain period tough in which one has to manually add trusted sites to the whitelist when browsing them for the first time. But once this is done, it works smoothly in the background and adds very good extra protection. I recommend this in combination with NoScript, Adblock Plus, BetterPrivacy and CookieSafe.
I also experienced a speed boost in browsing, because unnecessary requests are simply blocked, thus websites are displayed earlier.
