Excellent. Up there with e-cleaner(removes leftover junk) and CleanestAddonManager(displays) as addons you need to manage your addons addiction! To those saying 'how does this work': you go to the urlbar and type about:addons-memory in it, hit enter. this addon creates a new page that you see when you do that
Not sure what everyone's problem is. It blocks google. Google provide youtube, google maps & ReCaptcha, so it blocks those. You click the red urlbar icon, hit F5 to reload and voila, disabled on that page, couldn't be easier. Yes, if you filled out an entire page of form and then it's lost because you got to the ReCaptcha it's a really annoying, and if you're making a financial transaction it may be best to disable it (not as bad as NoScript blocking payment gateways) but it couldn't be easier to unblock it temporarily. Something like DoNotTrackMe might be more suitable if your choice between privacy and convenience is different.
excellent and very useful! Also very unique! a must for fans of british politics/UK voters
Works extremely well; clears history when pastes, unlike most addons. Not operated by context-menu options (delete history, disable etc) like some, so quicker. First you have to choose "Text Multicopy" in context menu after selecting text, then "Save to Clipboard" before you can paste it. You have to choose 'text multicopy' the first time, but after that whichever you context option choose makes no difference. The archive is deleted when you paste, no options on this, which suits me fine as i paste into Notepad++ if i want to save it. (I tick 'save within Notepad++', the top, 'usb stick' option, on installation, so saving is instant when pasted.) Has option to automatically copy and paste URL with your copy selection, which you can deselect, incredibly useful for students' bibliographies i would think. The addon only addon of this type that works for me. 'Append..' and 'Add more text' (names?) worked but didn't clear their history history, so rapidly become impossible! NB i rewrote this after the reply...
Has many essential features comparable addons don't, clear history, turn on and off etc, but only pasted the last copied thing into metapad for me. I'm sure it works and it's probably that i was using Pale Moon, or else it's for copying into other browsers, not my need.
Works fine, but you cannot delete from the archive so paste your entire copy history, that i can discover. Perhaps by removing, reinstalling.
It works fine, except that you cannot clear the memory ever that i can work out. Perhaps by removing and reinstalling. [after reply] Thanks a lot, i will use it now! Do not thank me, it is me who must thank you! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.1).
i wanted to be able to show and hide the text i copied easily, which this does, showing and hiding a hard pane to the right and automatically saving the text; no fishing about between applications every tab change, no irrelevant floating notes in every tab - excellent. I also wanted to afterwards be able to open and edit the copied texts. The first time i could reset the default place it saved but now that does not work (option uneditabled). So it's lost in stupid users appdata roaming, which i can't be bothered to fish about in. Obviously the option to copy the lot and paste in notepad++ or preferred .txt editor remains
Aha, thanks for the reply!
it's usually great and works, when it doesn't you have to remove and re-install and it opens every tab in a new window but doesn't show them except when you close the one in front. Definitely the best tab addon for keeping your upper screen space free; the only one that lets you put tabs on the right, and wide enough to read titles. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
i used to use this to put my tabs at the bottom of the window and free up top window, Australis put a stop to that but now the addon-bar replacement addon means i can again:)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.85). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
only installed this to surmount a temporary problem and it's become indispensable. Also saves timewasting from getting on twitter in first place
fast, perfect, highly useful. Essential for longform articles and lets me get off the web knowing i won't miss anything and i will enjoy reading it later
Just always works and is so flexible and gives you good screen space, eg in Australis i had everything on the statusbar now it's a fight for space so i can use the tiny button where before i had the huge one, alter the hover behaviour due to my hand problems etc. I've been using this a few years now (can't say that of many addons, mainly cos i try to fight my OCD by switching things around a lot) over many versions of firefox and changing what i need, and i always need this. One of the very few addons i've added to PaleMoon as well (i'm an addon addict, about 40: this one doesn't seem to interact with them: but i need a browser alternative for when i've broken firefox again with my weird habits) because i missed the screen space so much. NB cf other reviews, i'm on windows. Just to say thanks for years of good service. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.8.6). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Excellent. Doesn't insist on reloading the page every time you switch it on and off, easy to enable images for just one or two tabs. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
i thought i wrote a review but it's gone. Ok, FF29 ruined tabs on the bottom with Super Tab Mode, installed this in desperation after looking everywhere, and not only do i like it but i prefer it, hides all the junk on the right hand side of the page (newspapers are particular offenders). Great:)
I had all my tabs on the bottom (i hate the side) using Super Tab Mode, until today's FF29 which means i can either have a inch wide slice gone at the top, stoop more and hurt my back worse, or i can - not see my tabs! As i usually have 50+ open, small problem. Installed this today, and working perfectly! So, opposite experience to the previous guy, thanks. Perfect.
I should have thanked you sooner, for saving my posture/back with your 'tabs at the bottom' option, but it's only now the new firefox (29?) has meant that makes them disappear entirely that i realise how good what i lost was. Thanks, anyway. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.85). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
I have OCD and often can't tear myself away from thousands of open tabs. But i don't want to save all the pages or bookmark them, i just want to know i can start where i left off so i can kid myself i've finished. Works perfectly. Seems to be very lightweight.
speeds up browsing, removes visual nuisance, and saves the planet a tiny bit by not wasting energy sending images i don't want that only came from some agency down the pipes of the internet... Used to block everything, now fails on tumblr and some other sites (tumblr doesn't matter really as who goes there for text?) but still works on newspapers, facebook etc which are otherwise unbearable. Fully recommended for the autistic! Good option to not auto-reload when change permissions, so can allow a photoset on one tab then block images again.
Also made me realise how racist the UK is: every time i enable it on a newspaper, i see photos of rich or powerful white people and black criminals... (i know they're mixed - in fact crime is certainly the least racist area of the UK) but the overwhelming experience is that, really makes me feel for black kids growing up here...
long story: my touchpad is foul, i have to use a mouse, i can't afford a new one so only have two buttons so i use Right Links addon (replaces right-click with opening in another tab, like mid-button). Ace. But 'save as' for images? Timewasting, as i'm OCD with tumblr. But this saves the day! Always works, much less clicking, far faster. I don't need to disable Right Links to use this! Won't save a more high-res image if that's what you're redirected to on clicking the original, as sometimes are, but ace - works nearly always. Used to overule instagram etc but now i have to use 'snip' tool. (I don't, in general, want to steal images, it's just my collecting is compulsive, i can't stop myself.) Quickly went to my small must-have list of addons. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.15).
