Screenshoter

Annoying. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Does the same thing as ScreenshotPimp used to do before they started adding toolbars and breaking compatibility with the latest versions of firefox. This addon does what it says, and usually works well. But why must I have the stupid black camera plastered next to my back button in the toolbar??!?! I have a small screen and that icon makes the toolbar extra high so I get rid of the icon because I do not use it. Releauch firefox, and guess what, IT COMES BACK?!?!?!! WHY?!?!?! Please fix this bug!!! If I recall, ScreenshotPimp had the same problem. I'm pretty sure this is just a copy.

Tree Style Tab

Crashes Firefox Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I love having my tabs on the left side of my screen, but now whenever I try and move the tab bar to any other location, Firefox crashes. I emailed who I think is the developer, hopefully this can be fixed soon. Mac OSX 10.6.8 - Firefox 3.6.19

DEAD! - Use Alternative! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I've used this addon for several years, it used to work great. Lately however, it stopped working on some sites like facebook where when you start the capture, it never actually happens because the "save where" window never comes up. IT DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Then I found "Screenshot Pimp" which does the same as this extension, only BETTER! Make sure to install the one with the link in the comments from another user and not the official one from Mozilla listings. That one is full of other garbage like their facebook addon. The modded one works with Firefox 3 and 4 (and on my mac), and contains ONLY the screenshot grabber and nothing else. Oh, and a nice feature of screenshot pimp, is that you can pre-define the "save as" folder so at the click of a button, your screenshot is taken AND saved, no longer do you have to wait for the save window to come up to select where you want it! Hope this comment helps others out there like me that have been trying to find a better solution for taking screenshots!

Screengrab

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This addon use to be great, but as time goes on, this addon gets slower and slower to work. I right click the page, tell it to save the capture and it sometimes takes up to a minute before I get the "save as..." box to appear. Since yesterday, it does not appear at ALL! I have uninstalled and reinstalled the addon and it still fails to capture pages. Please update. Thanks.

Easy YouTube Video Downloader

Great, until I found out it was causing a problem Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I love this addon. However over the last month I've had this issue where I would be watching a youtube video and I would randomly be redirected to google.com. The back button would not take me back to the video either - its like it would kick me off! Over the last month I have completely rebulit my Firefox profile and have installed addons one by one until I found out what was doing it - and it was THIS ADDON that for some reason causes the issue. Maybe its because I am using Firefox 3.6 and I am using a Mac, I don't know - but I thought I would post my findings hoping that this issue will be fixed or that others with this problem will see this and not just think their seeing things because this issue is very odd!!!!

Used to be great, now: Too SLOW! Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This addon used to be great, however lately it has been very slow.
I think it is because there has been many firefox updates since the last update of this addon, and something is causing the slow down. For example, I can go to Google.com, right click and choose to capture the whole page and it may be atleast 45 seconds to a minute until I get the save dialogue box to come up.
PLEASE UPDATE THIS ADD-ON!
(I don't want it to die!!)

Firesizer

A nice start...but.... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is a nice idea. However, there is an issue.
The size in the status bar is displaying the size of the Firefox WINDOW, but not the size of the actual VIEWABLE AREA. For example things like the status bar, menu bar, bookmarks bar, tabs bar and side bars all take up room that makes the website actually SMALLER then the size given. In my case, I have my tabs on the left hand side of the screen going up and down, and this takes up more space in the window.
So what am I getting at? There should be TWO modes to Firesizer. One will calculate the screen size by how big the WINDOW is, and the other mode would calculate it by how big the actual viewable area is inside the window. For me, these two numbers would differ in several hundred pixels.
Thanks for the consideration...
Regards,
Scott

My Weekly Browsing Schedule

Needs some work Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I haven't even used this add-on yet, but am giving it 3 stars because it looks like a good idea, but needs some work.

For example, I installed the add-on, restarted firefox, and the add-on window comes up to tell me that it was installed. I go to click preferences to start setting it up, but the button is ghosted and does nothing! I ended up having to watch the youtube video to find out that the settings are actually accessed from the TOOLS menu! - Doh! Why put them there when they should in the preferences where they belong (with the others) At-least make this an option of where the settings show up. I do NOT need them in the tools menu.

Also, I do not need a new item in my right click menu either. There needs to be an option to turn that off. I already have enough stuff in my right click menu and because I am stuck to a small laptop screen that has very little vertical space, which means every time I right click, I have to scroll up and down. This is just one more item that is unneeded and needs an option to be removed.

Finally, the interface needs a lift. The * # sections in the preferences are confusing and need to be replaced with something else. The interface definably needs an overhaul.

Once these changes are made, I believe this add-on will be great, and I will come back to re-review it!

Do not use. This addon used to be great, but hasn't been updated in over a year. therefore a lot of the features do not work anymore and causes problems as well. Until there is an update, DO NO BOTHER!

InstaClick

Solves one problem, creates others Rated 3 out of 5 stars

now I can open links in a new tab without having to hold the CMD key down! I can just two finger tap on a link! However, when using a mouse, this thing gets annoying as now you losse your right click unless you hold down the ctrl, shift, etc key. also, it seems to take about three "right clicks" with the key held down before it realizes what I'm trying to do, and THEN it give me the right click menu. ALSO, when this extension is enabled, is disables the "view image" function. I can get to it in the right click menu, but it does not do anything whenever this add-on in enabled. If I disable this add-on, and do a "view image" it works correctly. DEVELOPER, PLEASE UPDATE THIS ADD-ON TO FIX THESE ISSUES! THANKS!

TinEye Reverse Image Search

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Please move it down from the first option when I right click. Also, please remove the icons. It makes the menu look silly. just as silly as all those toolbars the IE users have. THANK YOU!
