Was a great add-on until the most recent update, did exactly what I needed. Since the recent update I've had to disable it because every time I start Firefox it spams me with utterly pointless and obnoxious pop-ups telling me that I seem to have the bookmarks bar disabled, which I do because I use a button to toggle the bookmarks bar. Spamming a pop-up to tell me what I've chosen to do is not helpful or useful any way.
It would have been 5 stars before the most recent update.
This theme was a godsend for Firefox 3.0, so I'm glad to see it has been updated for 4.0+ as it has been sorely missed! There is however one slight bug which makes it unusable for me at the moment:
With this theme enabled, the 'Add-on Bar' (or status bar in my case since I use the statusbar4evar add-on) becomes the same size (thickness) as normal toolbars. I've tried disabling the 'statusbar4evar' add-on to see if there is a conflict, however the Add-on bar still remains too large.
If the bug with the add-on/status bar could be fixed this theme would be perfect.
This theme needs a lot of work. There only seems to be one icon size (regardless of settings) and that is 'huge'. It also seemed to completely screw up my add-on bar by placing a whole load of repeated icons in it, not sure if that's a conflict with the status-4-evar add-on.
I like the square address bar but personally I don't think the green verification bar or any of the icons should be removed. I also don't think the tab style fits too well. The tabs are tiny, especially compared with the huge icons, and they don't really fit the rest of the UI.
Overall I think this theme is a nice idea and close to what I want, but the implementation needs work.
This theme is almost exactly what I've been looking for. I used to use the StataStripe theme on FF3 so I've been looking for a theme that brings the Winstripe icons into FF4. The only thing that's not quite right in my opinion is the button style. The Winstripe icons don't quite go with the new button style on the main toolbar (particularly on XP with classic UI), so it would be great if the theme could also change the button style to how it used to be.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.5.1).
Definitely the best screen shot plug-in for Firefox that I've tested.
It would be good if it was updated more often so it doesn't get disabled with every Firefox update though.
Update installed a Bing toolbar on my firefox. You've just won your plug-in the INSTANT DELETE award! Well done! Jackass.
I'm using Firefox, why the eff would I want a Microsucks Bing toolbar??
This add-on would be perfect if it didn't force you to have the 'Site Launcher' menu in the menu bar.
An option to remove that menu would be greatly appreciated!
That's the only thing stopping me from keeping this add-on installed and giving it 5 stars.
