I've got the Australian dictionary in my number 1 slot (in preferences), British in number 2, and have removed the American dictionary, but Firefox still spellchecks my pages in US English by default. So what's the point trying to fix Firefox spelling setup with installed dictionaries? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.2).
This addon works for me. Early indications are that it has a useful set of options.
The advice on http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Opening%20PDF%20files%20within%20Firefox?s=pdf&as=s (Opening PDF files within Firefox) seems to be wrong. "Firefox PDF Plugin extension" works for me on a PPC with OS 10.4.11 and Firefox 3.6.19. The Schubert plugin, however, doesn't work for me at all, does not appear in Firefox's plugin list, and is not available as an option under Firefox-->Preferences-->Applications for .pdf files.
Clicking on icon does nothing, on this web-page or others. Same with contextual menu item - no response. In Add On Manager, Options is unavailable. Basically, it doesn't work at all for me, on Firefox 3.6.13.
Wait... I found the Preferences menu, and fixed the problem. No dictionary was chosen, as it is set to select en-US by default, and I do not have the US dictionary installed at all. I selected my dictionary, and it works fine now. I had also made the changes to about:config mentioned below, but that alone did not fix the problem. Anyway, it works now.
Being logged-in at Mozilla didn't help. Getting it from http://www.ietab.net/downloads/ietab-22.214.171.124.xpi did the trick. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199).
The SuperProfile icon appears in my Firefox Status Bar, OK. BUT nothing else happens at all. There is NO "theSUPERprofile TAB on your profile page", NO answers at the Forum, NO options in your Tools, no indication of anything we can do to get it to DO something.
I can only assume it's not compatible with Firefox 3, or with the "new" Facebook. I agree with SaintlyMic.
But, wow!, it COULD be good, if it did what it claims to do!
I haven't seem it do any harm. But I haven't seenit do me any good either. I don't think I needed Beacon Blocker - but if YOU need it, I think it works without side-effects.
