YammerFox

Update? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

How about an update to support the latest FireFox (6.0.2 at the moment)? This has become unusable.

Evernote Web Clipper

Works on Windows for FF 6.0.2 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was surprised to see a couple people say this didn't work with FireFox 6.0.2, because I haven't seen any problems with the Evernote Clipper on this version. I *have* had other problems with this version, ever since 6.0.1 the start-up has been very flaky and it pauses a lot. But I just used the Clipper and it worked quickly without a hitch. Evernote is my go-to program for snagging things off the web for the past few years - love it!

I've used this for a long time on Windows PCs and it just keeps getting better. At least with Windows, you have to manually add it to the toolbar. But once you do, it's good.

I just wish they'd upgrade it to work with the FF4 betas.

FireGestures

Doesn't work on 3.6.13 Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I installed it because it said it'd work all the way up through 4.0beta. But once I restart FF, it says the add-on won't work with this version.

I'm just saying...

Ryan G is totally wrong. I'm not sure what's wrong with his system, but it works perfectly for me. I just installed this on an almost-new Windows 7 machine and it worked as soon as I'd restarted FireFox V3.6.8

Clip to OneNote

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It seems to work fairly well, but it didn't always want to capture selected text paragraphs when I ran it via Tools->Clip to OneNote. But once I selected the text, then right-clicked, it always seemed to work, no matter how I selected the feature. At least, that's what appeared to happen.

Formatting of complex pages is lost a bit, but I think the result is better than when done from IE, so hats off to the developer!

You could improve the documentation even more by making it crystal clear that the option setting needs to include ONENOTE.EXE, not just the directory path to that file, which, being the literalist geek I am, I chose.

Thanks!

Brief

Nothing special Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I've been using Google Reader for a while now and find it pretty good. But when Brief promised to show the entire feed contents in one page for quick reading, I thought I'd try it out. But it really only provides a page of summaries from the feed, not the full articles. Or at least I don't see an option for the full contents. The headline option shows even less.

So this works the same as Google Reader, whose interface is just as clean. Sorry!
