Thanks a lot for making this kind of add-on anew. Although this one may not have plenty of features as other previous add-ons of the same function, but at least it's simple to use, and easy to configure with a nice looking interface. The most important thing is, sadly, the predecessors are almost all dying out. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.10).
Hi, I have just got new findings: after testing with different profiles, I found that there is no problem with other add-ons. If a profile is in a session with only 1 window, then next time when Firefox starts with it, the menu is normal. And if a profile is in a session with multiple windows, then next time Firefox starts, the session and the windows are restored, and the Persona Switcher menu items only appear in the window which opens last, but in other windows the menu is empty. Hope this helps. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8). This user has 4 previous reviews of this add-on.
Hi, when I received your reply today, I immediately checked the menu and the Personas items are listed properly. However, after restarting Firefox, the menu is null again. Closing Firefox entirely and relaunching it did not make the items reappear.
I'm wondering that the menu was normal because yesterday I just upgraded my Firefox from 12.0b4 to 12.0b5, and maybe the first launch after any upgrade will get the menu right, but the fix is not sustained after further restarts... just my theory.
I'll test further using new profiles and disabling other add-ons, which step I should have done!
Hi drb80, yes I'm on Win7!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
Update to my previous appreciation: found that in Fx 12, the menu of Personas Switcher is empty (only a small pixel square appears), not showing my installed personas most of the time. Not sure if this is only happening to me~This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
You have provided the ability that is so crucial and were yet missing! Thanks to this open and innovative Community that when Mozilla does not finish the shot. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).
Two years since Fx 3.6, after which users can no longer wear personas on custom themes.
Some theme developers are trying hard to improve their themes to be compatible with personas, but where is the mechanism to easily wear personas on themes? When will Bug 520124 <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=520124> be seriously addressed?
Please do not abandon your support to custom themes, Mozilla. I love Firefox and I'll never convert to Chrome, because only Firefox offers more beautiful themes and personas together. I use workarounds steps now, but I'll be more content when this is fully supported back.
Sorry to have found that with 1.1.3beta3, the Chinese locale is still broken~This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Hi, in Firefox 5.0 beta 1, the Chinese locale of FoxToPhone 1.1.2 seems to be broken (causing XML parsing error in the preference window). Since I'm a Traditional Chinese user, so the Simplified Chinese locale does not help me too much, so it may be alright to take off the Simplified Chinese locale for a while until it's back to normal. Thanks! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
Not working for Fx 4. Fighting!
Hi, after updated to 1.4 today, found that the triggering area is normal "visibly", but seems to be bigger "invisibly", because now the nav bar pops out right when the cursor just touches the bottom edge of the tab bar (but I have set my tab bar below the nav bar!)
But the biggest problem is that Ctrl+L and Ctrl+K cannot focus the location bar and search bar respectively correctly. Downgrading back to 1.3a would fix this.
The currently maintained and most updated IE Tab plugin.
It seems that this was "Coral IE Tab". Was this really "IE Tab Plus" which was problematic?
My bad, after disabling the screen edge for rotating the Compiz cube on Linux and restarting the window manager, Vertical Toolbar works fine on Linux too.
If it's not skinned by the Persona, a manual wearing should do the trick.
The autohiding problem on Linux may have to do with my Compiz Cube rotating trigger area on the right edge too. I'll check it later.
Works find on Windows.
I had need for window organization just about 10 minutes ago and through "Vertical Toolbar" I have come across this extension! Thank God! Thank you. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.8).
Very good and helpful for netbooks. Only that I seem not able to find the triggering area for autohide on Linux for Fx 4...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2).
0.6.4.1 working again! Thanks for the long fight with Gmail...This user has 3 previous reviews of this add-on.
You should be well informed by the description of this add-on before using it. Nobody can force you to abandon your shortcut keys and keyboard shortcuts. It's just convenient for people who prefers or uses mouse a lot, or when keyboard is not easily accessible (ex. when your fingers are full of potato chips).I wonder if I can use this well with my touchpad on the laptop though.
Maybe some genius in Google has/have done a little tweak again. Hopefully Gmail Manager can also catch up with them. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.4). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
Interesting and nice UI. Go Mozilla! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.8).
