Provider for Google Calendar

Can't Add and Event to Google Calendar Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really appreciate this add-on. It's essential to the way I run my business,

Following update to version Provider 3.3 / TB 52,* I can no longer communicate changes to the Google calendars, These events include dismiss an event, Change an event or add a new event . I downgrade to TB 45.8.0, Lightning 4.7.8 and Provider 3.1 and the problem was fixed.

Another challenge with Provider 3.3 is when setting up a new connection. I have two separate Google accounts, each with a number of calendars. During the connection dialog, the email addresses show up correctly, but the calendars shown can be for the wrong account. Regardless of the account chosen, the calendars are for the last account in the list.

For now, I've turned off automatic update.

Brief

Really like Brief Rated 5 out of 5 stars

After many years, I've switched from Sage to Brief. I really appreciate the clean look and feel and also appreciate the gReader-like ability search/hide history and to nest links and drill down.

Migration was fairly simple. Both Sage and Brief use bookmarks, so I was able to use the bookmark organizer to open each Sage link and bookmark it for Brief.

I'm not a web developer so I could use some styling support to do simple things like increase the font size of the headline in list view without having to resort to the debugger to figure it out.

I'm glad made the switch.

AddressBookTab

Thanks for the Fix Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks for getting out release 1.5. I works fine with TB 15.0. I hacked 1.4 for TB 14, but was going to have to do it again until I found your update. This is one of my most useful and appreciated add-ons.

Also thanks ck55. I tried working without this add-on for a week, but really missed it.

Tofix67: I confirm the bug, but the delete key works to delete a single item.

Aardvark

Make it installable on current FF Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is one of my favorite add-ons. I am using it in FF 13.0 with no problem. I used a standard hack to get it to install:
1. Downloaded and saved the xpi file.
2. Unpacked with WinZip.
3. Modified install.rdf to make <maxVersion> a large number.
4. Re-zipped the files.
5. Changed the .zip extent to .xpi
6. Installed.

Seems to work fine.

Lightning

Compatibility Issues Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I totally agree with DJM54. I depend on Lightning as part of my office productivity toolkit. I've lived with the Thunderbird Beta channel for some time, but each time an update breaks Lightning, I waste a great deal of time fixing the mess. I have to hunt for the list of version compatibilities (you'd think by now I'd have it bookmarked :)....). If I find it and I can locates the appropriate Lightning version, great. If not, like this time, I drop Thunderbird back a revision and get on the release channel

I really like the Lightning add-on but can't afford the time to keep fixing this issue. I won't be going back to the beta channel any time soon.

Sage-Too

Thanks! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've used Sage for more than 3 years. During that time, I've reviewed many news readers, but have always kept Sage as my "production" product. Imagine my dismay when I moved to FF3rc1, could not find a compatible Sage version, and it looked like the project was dead.

Enter Sage-Too. Thank you, thank you, thank you ....

The installation was really simple, and yy feed bookmarks were still valid. I had previously "hacked" a couple of the Sage styles and they required a few simple modifications to clean up padding issues.

For me, this is the most straight forward yet comprehensive of all of the RSS readers I have ever tried, both browser-based and stand-alone.

If Sage is indeed dead, long live Sage-Too

Noia 2.0 (eXtreme)

My all-time favorite! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I use this theme for both Firefox and Thunderbird, on a variety of Windows, Linux and Mac systems, and simply love it!

Just hope it gets ported to FF3 NOW (rc1), rather than after final release.

This add-on is one of my top 5 favorites of all times. I use it to cut clutter from news sites, reduce printing volume and to simplify text for cut-and-paste into other documents. I love it.
