I updated the rdf file (Google "edit an xpi file") to max version 9.9 and it appears to work just fine in Firefox 5.0.1 on my new Windows 7 64-bit machine. This is great news since I love this add-on, especially that it duplicates the history of the tab as well. This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
It is utterly ridiculous that there is not a default Next and Previous button built into Thunderbird!! I am so glad that you created this add-on and I have been using it for years.
I was extremely disappointed when I upgraded to Thunderbird 5.0 and it wasn't compatible. Luckily though, I decided to give the usual editing of the install.rdf file a try (instruction here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_an_add-on_to_change_its_compatibility ). I changed it to indicate "<em:maxVersion>5.0</em:maxVersion>" instead of "<em:maxVersion>3.2a1pre</em:maxVersion>" and the it WORKED!!!! (for the most part). After dragging my Next and Prev icons into my toolbar, they became blank. But they are THERE...and they WORK! So if anyone else using Thunderbird 5 wants this add-on, it will work, with a little finagling. It should any easy upgrade to make it officially work in 5 though. Thanks again!!
I used the previous version of Duplicate Tab and got used to an Icon to duplicate a tab. Unfortunately this version does NOT offer that option. That being said, right clicking on the tab (or window) and selecting "Duplicate Tab" isn't really that much more difficult. It simply takes getting used to. Like getting a new car and having to reach to a different spot to turn on the headlights. Who knows, I may even come to find it simpler in the long run. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).
This is probably one on my most used add-ons. I do not think there is a day I do not use it. I was disappointed when it did not work for version 3.6 But then I followed the instructions carefully at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_an_add-on_to_change_its_compatibility and it worked like a charm!!This user has other reviews of this add-on.
This is probably one on my most used add-ons. I do not think there is a day I don't use it. I was disappointed when it didn't work for version 3.5.0. But then I followed the instructions carefully at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_an_add-on_to_change_its_compatibility and it worked like a charm!!
