Search Cloudlet for Google, Yahoo and Twitter

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Useful for those times when you just can't quite seem to find the right combination of search synonyms to find what you are looking for.
Also good for SEO purposes.

Speed Dial

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Frankly, the BEST firefox add-on there is. Seriously, if I could only have one add-on this would be it, even over AdBlock Plus.

If you only make one set of 9 dials, then you probably don't agree with the above, and I don't blame you. All of the power in this addon comes from being able to create MORE THAN ONE SPEED DIAL PAGE.

Sure, Google has that speed dial thing, and so does Opera, but Google's is based on usage, and Opera only gives you one page. I have 19 speed dial groups, no exaggeration. Each group shows up as a tab across the top and can be customized with their own colors to make them easy to find. I have groups based on function (custom searches, my best online deals websites, one with all of my blogs, another with all of my blog's admin pages, one for family stuff, one for personal stuff... you get the idea). If you've got bookmarks coming out of your ears like I do, Speed Dial is a life saver. Now I can bookmark everything I want to and even be a bit sloppy about it, because all of my critical or important bookmarks are in my speed dials.

To get the most of out this addon, create more than one dial group and load them up with your sites that you need quick access to. Then, change the settings to display your dials in new tabs instead of the home page (make your current home page the #1 dial on your first dial group and you'll have the same access).

I don't want to go on forever here, so I wrote up a review -- It is posted on my site at if you want to check out screenshots and the rest of how I have configured and setup this addon to maximize my own online productivity.

Download this one. Try it out. You won't be sorry.

Tab Control

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Yes, TabMixPlus (and others) do "all this and more", but it's the "and more" that is the reason to use this add-on. Way less bloated than the others and doesn't interfere with other plug-ins as much.

I only give it 3 Stars because can't live without "close tabs to right".

Brilliant! Now, those of us who keep 35 tabs open don't have to fear a time-sucking restart if we re-enable an add-on or just want to close Firefox while working on something else.
Great idea. Thanks for this.

SkipScreen -- download helper, now for sale...

Huge Time Saver - Great Plugin Rated 5 out of 5 stars

One of the greatest time savers on the whole Internet. The download websites have gotten worse and worse about how they treat users. While I understand the business model and have no problem with buying a subscription to services I regularly use, there are hundreds of them and no one can possibly buy membership to all of them. Only using a service once a month or even less sometimes, shouldn't mean that a infrequent user has to sit by while a website purposely wastes as much of their time as possible just to try and force signing up with a service that the user has no need for except for one time.

These sites are no longer content to use fair and acceptable limitations on free users. They have gone beyond just making casual users only download one file at a time, they have added all manner of timers and other delays. Fortunately, SkipScreen eliminates some of the most annoying time wasters, while not preventing the bandwidth or consecutive download limits that are mostly fair.

Great, great plugin for busy users. Just the kind of thing that make Firefox and its plug-in system the greatest browser available.

Abduction! - Webpage Screenshots Screen Capture

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Best webpage screen capture utility anywhere (and I've tried a ton). If it had a "Print" option on the selection window (I'm thinking between Reset and Save) it would be the perfect add-on.
