My Reviews

TabGroups Manager

Unreliable, especially with other addons Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This just isn't as solid as a tab manager needs to be, not even close. I use Session Manager, and didn't trust the interop options this addon provides that shut it off, so carelessly closing Firefox with the wrong tab group selected (specifically, the one without app tabs pinned) made it come up missing all the other tab groups and the pinned tabs, and from that point on it was impossible to recover them all efficiently. I'm going to resort to some weird session merging trickery and then uninstall this for good.
There have been other glitches; in particular, trying to select a pinned tab from the "wrong" group doesn't work, Ctrl-Shift-Click to focus a new tab link is messed up, and so on. The idea could be nice, but this implementation is not worth the risk or annoyance.

KeeFox

Nothing but helpful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

KeeFox is just flat-out useful; it's one of my top five addons I install everywhere (and considering my full loadout, that's pretty impressive!).

It has all kinds of features to make life easier for anyone who uses lots of passwords, so I highly recommend it.

KeeFox

Solid, helpful utility Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I use KeeFox multiple times per day, and have delved into its features pretty extensively. It's immensely handy and does its job well. Recommended.

Update Scanner

Too Slow Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Performance on delta creation (i.e. when a changed page notification is clicked to open the change page) is pretty awful, and generally freezes Firefox for 5-15 seconds while it works. None of the other extensions I've tried do this.

User interface is simple, which can be nice, but for my needs is inadequate. Also, the appearance of the deltas is rather unpleasant, as styling seems to be removed.

On the whole, I don't recommend this for serious use because of the performance problems. If you can live with that, though, then it might work well for you.

NoScript Security Suite

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very useful extension. Out of over 50 extensions installed currently, this always gets top billing, and whenever I have to set up a new Firefox profile, NoScript is first in. The Web just isn't safe without it.

P.S. I still trust NoScript, despite the rather surprising storm of controversy I've followed. Mistakes happen; malicious JavaScript doesn't, not when NoScript is installed. That's it in a nutshell.

Undo Closed Tabs Button

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very good. Does exactly what it claims to, and does it well. No compatibility problems, despite my heavy use of Tab Kit, Tab Preview, IdentiFavIcon, and dozens of other addons with it.

A very solid addon, that I cannot imagine how to improve.

Tab Kit

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just absolutely wonderful. Everything just works properly, and there are so many features, most of which I'm using nearly every hour of every day.

I thoroughly recommend this to anyone with lots of tabs to manage.

FlagTab

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

In one respect this addon is absolutely priceless: no other addon exists, that I know of, that can flag or otherwise mark tabs. OTOH, the interface is still slightly clunky and needs more customizability to be all it can be.

I recommend this for anyone overloaded with tabs.

TabGroups Manager

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Usable, but clunky. Takes up too much space for my liking, and doesn't manage the tablist quite as well as I'd like.

Has potential, though, and I may try it again later.

Context History

Solid addon. Smooths interface noticeably.

Works especially well when customized with Menu Editor (http://menueditor.mozdev.org/).
Quite a useful add-on.

IdentFavIcon

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just works. What higher praise can I give?

TooManyTabs - Saves Your Memory

Somewhat incompatible with other addons Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Does not play nicely with other addons, specifically tab management addons I've installed for colorizing and iconizing tabs.

UI is slightly clunky, and I don't appreciate the bookmark-based design, although I can see why it was done.
Furthermore, it appears to randomize tab order in saved sessions, which alone is enough to kill it for me.
