I'm not sure.... Not yet rated
I really WAS interested until I saw the reviews..
Ad-ware? Saving links in stead of documents?? Gibberish??? I'm not sure I'm ready to try that...
And then the author requests that people put comments on his official site... Sure, he wants to keep the bad news away from the Mozilla site, so people don't know about it before dl-ing.
He wants the ADVANTAGE of publishing here, but not the responsibility that comes with it?... He should be prepared to check in here regularly... as should all plug-in authors.
So, mostly the attitude turns me off... Now I'm sure I'm not ready for this. 1 for the effort, because you DID make me look.
SWEEEEEEET Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Normally, I'm not all that Holiday-minded, and it's usually very unlikely that I'd install some holiday season theme, but Tinseltown really got me into the spirit of Christmas. I'm keeping it, at least this month. Well done, really VERY well done! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).
It's easy to forget... Rated 4 out of 5 stars
It's easy to forget that this extension is installed. Downloads are much easier: just click once to download, click again to confirm, and forget about it...
However, if I remember correctly, early versions of this extension had the option of choosing default folders for saving different file types. That (to me essential) option is now sorely missed. And if I remember INcorrectly, than it's about time such an option is finally added!
Nicely done... Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I'm not big on searching Torrents, but this one makes it quite easy.
However, there is one very important thing missing: the option to set your own default engine. Having to select your preferred engine for every single search is cumbersome, and I don't like the output of Torrent.pl, which seems to be the current default.
Nice work on the shift-F1, though!
Still great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I remember when the first version of this extension appeared. As soon as the initial bugs were taken care of, it quickly became the second most important part in my Firefox setup, after Adblock (Plus) itself. And it still takes that place for me. Marvelous!
And to Wai I'd like to say: Filterset.G happened to be around before Adblock Plus even HAD a built-in updating system. So who made what incompatible??? Filterset.G is simply the best filterset around, and deserves acknowledgment.
Still the best! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Easy to forget that this extension is installed. It's never visible, you never press any buttons or icons to activate it... Actually, you don't see it at all, just like all the ads it removes. This is the extension that actually widens the gap between FF and IE even more. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.5.3).
Didn't do anything for me... Not yet rated
In spite of some of the previous reviews that say it worked like a charm, I have not been able to download ANYTHING using this add-on. It wouldn't even FIND anything worth downloading. I'll not say this extension is useless; perhaps it does work on some systems, but it didn't on mine. Maybe I don't know how to use it...
I've seen better Rated 2 out of 5 stars
That so-called "excellent posting dialog" is actually what put me down the most: it tries to be helpful by stretching as wide as it can on a diagonal dual monitor setup! Why does it have to use the largest possible width? That isn't even practical on a single monitor!
Also, many of the tags in the sidebar don't even respond to clicking.
My verdict: looking nice, until you really try to use it. Then it's suddenly useless!
Tried it, disliked it. Not yet rated
Sorry, not for me!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).
Essential, but lacking. Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This extension is a necessity, let this be clear. It's good to have your del.icio bookmarks integrated within your browser.
However: where the options of other extensions can be reached immediately from the add-ons window, this one forces us to go through Tools/Options.
Also, when posting a link to del.icio.us, I'd prefer to see a list of ALL my tags to choose from in addition to the recommended and popular tags.
Furthermore, when right clicking a link in the bookmarks window, I'd like the NORMAL context menu options to be available just like when clicking any other link. Now we have to VISIT the link first, in order to get to these functions.
Really, an essential piece of work, that unfortunately lacks to many features to get high ratings.
Here goes! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Back in the days of FF 1.0, I installed the then current version of this ext, and it forced me to say there weren't enough stars on the menu to rate it properly, so I had to keep it down to 5 (5 was the maximum at that time. Check www.customizegoogle.com to see that comment, they still have it). I've been disconnected for quite some time, and recently got my chance to install the latest FF and now I rediscovered CG. Now I can finally rate it properly, with the 10 stars it deserved to begin with! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.63).
A Must-Have! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
When I started to use Speed Dial, I had several little issues. But apparently, to Josep del Rio, the developer, little issues do not exist: ALL issues are big issues to him, and he really goes out of his way to solve them immediately. Very responsive and helpful.
Speed Dial is really an essential extension to me now. Thank you, Josep, for this great add-on, and for things to come :)
Very good! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
At first, Aio Sidebar has caused me some trouble, because it would default to open, regardless of my settings.
For some not apparent reason, that flaw has disappeared. Now, as it isn't in my face all the time, AiO Sidebar is really one of my top 3 helpful extensions, next to AdBlock Plus and Speed Dial.
It gives me a side window to add-ons, themes, bookmarks and so on, but only uses screen real-estate when I need its functions. Perfect!
Awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It's really stupid, actually: there are dozens of xpi's that claim to do this, and they all have gadget this and gadget that, many different modes and options, and at sites like Google or YouTube, they all download the useless player, in stead of the movies.
Video DownloadHelper is simple: no buttons and alerts, just an entry in the context menu! And it works every time!
Fantastic! Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This is really awesome. I like it a lot.
There is, however, one problem I found: styles for "about:blank" that load a picture AND change the background color, don't work properly. If you close FF and restart it, then only the latter of the two commands is performed when opening a new tab, unless you disable and re-enable the style first. !important doesn't change anything about this...
Still, a great extension!
