This addon used to work well for sites that I wanted to visit one time to read an article and thus didn't want to share my info to yet another website. Sadly, it no longer works. I uninstalled it after several years of use. If I see reviews that state that it's working again, I might try it again. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2).
I have been using some form of (the original) 'Download Statusbar' for a few years now, and just like my anger at the removal of the 'Google 'I'm Feeling Lucky' Search from the Awesomebar' by the FF developers (which I worked around with the Keyword URL hack), I was angry that they broke the DS addon sometime around FF23. So much so that I permanently downgraded back to FF22. Then, one day I found that somehow FF had updated itself to FF28 (NOT happy!). I went searching for a fix. I tried EVERY one that claimed that it was "FIXED!" They weren't. Until I found this one. It works. And I actually like its appearance and functionality better than the original (except for the default-on "Play sound when d/l completes" which I promptly turned off!).This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.03).
I tried this addon to correct a problem where file extensions were not automatically d/l'd and opened by the appropriate program (the old FF octet/stream bug that grays out the "Do this automatically.." for certain file extensions) and it did nothing for the problem. It also slowed down FF CONSIDERABLY and made the browser unstable! I could not remove this addon fast enough (literally). Useless.
I decided to try this plugin because "Open Tab Count" by Hilary Mason wouldn't work with the latest version of Firefox. This extension is nice, but I would love to also have the total number of windows and total number of tabs across ALL windows displayed like hers does. I tend to have between 20 and 30 windows with multiple tabs open at a time based upon projects I am working on. Having all of this info would be helpful to know when I have opened too many. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.9.6).
I just upgraded to FF 4b10 and missed not having FoxClocks. This add on is nice and light, BUT I would like the ability to change city names. The only city I can find in my time zone is New York. I would love to be able to change it to my town. And maybe change LA to "Pacific," Denver to "Mountain," etc. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5).
Great addon. I have used ReloadEvery for at least a couple of years now, and it is indispensable for IP security cameras that I use that tend to time out after an hour or two. But as of Firefox 3.5.4, it no longer works. I really need this to work again! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.5.1).
Glad to see that SC was recently updated for 3.0, but now we need a update for versions 3.1 and 3.2 please! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.200803).
I've been using this extension for quite a while. It used to be a "must have" extension, but lately, it's VERY buggy. Most of the time, it will open up all of the previously open windows and tabs, but it never loads the pages. They just remain blank and state "loading." The last few weeks however, I can't even get it to save a session. It gives me an error EVERY time. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to find another extension that works! It's a shame, because this extension has all of the bells and whistles I want. It just has gotten way too buggy. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.1.6).
I really like BTT but sadly I am on FF3, Beta 5 and can't use it. Hopefully, it will be updated and I will be able it use it again. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.0).
