My Reviews

Fast Search by Surf Canyon

Is it just me? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I was looking forward to this add-on when I saw it. But after I installed Firefox (latest 3) didn't want to load the page I wanted, just kept loading and loading. When I killed the tab and tried to search in Google... nothing again, and FF acting like something bad had happened.

I seem to be the only reviewer so far who has had this problem. Incompatible add-on in my FF? Zone Alarm? Haven't had the time to look into it at all. May reinstall when time permits and do some detective work as the add-on sounds great.

Interclue

One of the Best Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I just sent the Interclue team $5.00 and wish I could've sent 10X that. This great addon has just solved a couple of long standing pains in the behind. 1) I'm a subscriber to Coast to Coast AM and while I can download the programs with the Coast Media Center Zone Alarm Security Suite would not let me download any of the individual mp3s of the show; if I wanted to do that it meant shutting down ZA. Just now I discovered that thanks to Interclue WOW - the IC window that opens shows 'open in background tab' with which I can now download the mp3 without turning off my firewall. For a dummy like me: WOW. 2) I use PDF Download and it is often clumsy but with Interclue I can open any PDF easily! Thanks, IC Team for the great work.

All-in-One Sidebar

Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This has proven to be such a useful tool, an extremely handy add-on that's become part of my FF life.

Amazing Media Browser

Learning Curve Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I always have some problems trying view media on sites. Especially at truthdig.com, their "A/V Booth." Using AMB I clicked a link to a video; opened AMB page, manually added the A/V web address, to see the link to youtube. On the bottom panel AMB: 'This is a special link that cannot be previewed in AMB. Please click the "Download Link" button to save it.'

AMB seems like a lot of work (sic) for results I can get much easier with UnPlug. I gave it a '3' because no doubt it has some great uses for some people but for myself I am uninstalling and will keep using UnPlug.
