I'm surprised why this is a recommended addon while it's not working in the latest stable version of FF (3.0.10)! I installed it today, customized it to display local images, and started it via the right click option on its status bar icon. A black screen appeared. On it were a logo of Fox Saver, 5 buttons (Play/Pause, Stop, Previous, Next, Full Screen), and an image of revolving dots (probably telling me to wait).
I waited and waited, but nothing happened. I then changed the options and disabled all manipulations of the images (tilt, reflection, etc.) but still the same thing.
Frustrated, I left further tweaking. An application as simple as this addon must work out of the box. But it's not working even after tweaking all the relevant options.
But since it's a recommended addon, I doubt if it hasn't worked on other people's computers. I have other addons installed; maybe compatibility with them is an issue. Whatever be the reason, it's not working for me. So sad :-(
Bug: Disables the Drag-n-Droppability of Some Toolbar Icons Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I experienced a bug with this add-on. This add-on disables the drag-n-droppability of some buttons on some toolbars when installed on FF 3.0.7 on Win XP Pro SP3. When this add-on is not installed (or is disabled), the option "Customize..." on the right-click context menu of the toolbars lets you drag and drop the buttons from a toolbar or from the customization box to another toolbar or to another location on the same toolbar or to the customization box. This feature allows you to customize the buttons on the toolbars. When this add-on is enabled, this functionality gets disabled for some of the buttons on some toolbars, means those buttons become persistent or locked at their positions. So the toolbar containing these buttons can neither be customized nor deleted! I don't know if this is the case with me alone, since I didn't check it on other systems. If this is a general case, I hope the author/s will fix it soon... Other than that, it works satisfactorily. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.0.7).
Bug: Disables the Save boxes Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I experienced a bug with this add-on. This add-on disables the "Save As..." box when installed on FF 3.0.7 on Win XP Pro SP3. When this add-on is not installed (or is disabled), there appears a "Save As..." box when you right click a link or a picture and choose Save... or a similar option from the context menu displayed. This box allows you to specify the location and filename for the intended download. When this add-on is enabled, this box no longer appears, means you cannot save anything from the web without some special trick (which ya gotta guess yourself depending upon how you've configured the browser). For most not-so-techie-people, this simply means no downloads at all!
I don't know if this is the case with me alone, since I didn't check it on other systems. If this is a general case, I hope the author/s will fix it soon...
Other than that, it works satisfactorily.
