Allowed me to save a webpage as a PDF with embedded links and pictures. Works how it's supposed to and did exactly what I wanted. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.1).
Best YouTube Video Downloader by Far Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This beats other YouTube video downloaders hands-down. It works, it can get you 1080p video and seamlessly add AAC audio to it (because for some unfathomable reason YouTube separates 1080p video and audio streams, so they have to be downloaded separately and combined with FFMpeg - which this add-on does automatically), and there are no annoying ads.
My main complaints with the add-on have been fixed with the 0.4.5 update so I've changed my review to 5 stars. Unfortunately a new issue has arisen, but is the fault of changes made by YouTube. For some stupid reason YouTube has stopped providing a separate 256kbps CBR AAC audio track and the highest quality audio now available to mux with 1080p MP4 videos is 128kbps CBR AAC. However 720p video+audio streams still contain ~192kbps VBR AAC audio. But since YouTube doesn't stream 1080p video+audio streams, your options are 1080p with 128kbps audio or 720p with 192kbps audio. Hopefully YouTube changes this soon. But until they do, here are the features I would like to see the developers of this add-on integrate:
1) Come up with a way to extract the audio from the 720p stream and remux it with the 1080p video stream.
2) Add a batch download feature (e.g., ability to select multiple videos from a playlist or search page)
3) Not a feature, just a suggestion: when opening the in-video download interface, some of the options say "video only." This can be confusing since it actually means that the add-on will download the video and audio streams separately and combine them, not just the video by itself.
Flash Video Problem Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I really like this add-on, but the most recent version causes a strange problem with Flash videos. If a flash video is in a window (e.g. on YouTube or any other video site), it starts jittering up and down by a couple pixels very fast. It's enough to give anyone motion sickness. I'm sure this extension was the source of the problem, because after disabling it the problem went away, and when I re-enabled it the problem came back. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206.2.2.1-signed).
