My Reviews

APNG Edit

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Disappointed. It only loads the first frame of an animated GIF, and only lets me add one frame at a time. This is not useful to me.

Comment Snob

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I liked the concept, but it really didn't have the customizations I was hoping for, and its approach to capitalization felt a mite misguided. What I really want is for it to identify all the spam under movie trailers, and remove anything with the word "Bieber."

Tree Style Tab

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm using this because TabKit won't work after updating to FF3.6.2. This is almost as good, but I can't change tabs with the scroll-button anymore. I really miss that feature.

It wins my seal of approval!

URL Flipper

YES, this addon exists! And it WORKS! Now I don't have to go through the trouble of writing it!

Schillr Stereoscopic 3D Viewer

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Quite nifty. The addon itself does its job, but the save button on the Schillr flash app does nothing for me, which defeats the entire purpose. A speed setting for wiggle mode would be welcome.

3Dview

I hope this is still under development, because this could be very useful if it wasn't so glitchy. Meshes load an rotate as they should, but I can barely see them behind the flashing mess of pixel grids, and crashing.

Thank you, this will save me many trips to Ćháràctεŕ Mäp. Intuitive, but I don't see support for ¢.

Liquid Words

If only Hyperwords was a woman... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm a fan of Firefox, but Firefox+Hyperwords makes browsing a joy! I can't stop abusing the translation functions. I'm not afraid to wander into Japanese and Chinese pages anymore, heck it even helps me learn other languages. If there could be Hebrew support that would be terrific. I also suggest improving the menu-customization feature to allow reordering and perhaps gray out deselected items, something to give me a better preview of what my menu will look like.

Screengrab

Brilliant, but... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very handy to have, but I have found a flaw. I tried to capture a page whose dimensions were altered by dynamic JS/DOM generated content, but it seems to only capture the page to its original dimensions, so some of the dynamic content gets cut off. This is going to be a big deal to me. I can't rate this any higher until that is fixed.
