Best image-zoom addon for all browsers. Better in every aspect: gallery, album collection, many sites, custom style for zoom, rotate, useful big view etc. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.8).
1. drag link close to the edge will activate "tile to..." function.
2. shift+enter in search bar will search in new tile right from current.
I have tried Adblock, Privdog, Ghostery, disconnect, though the latter is not a bad choice , BluHell was the only addon of it's category to not stop certain sites from sniffing up the language I use in my browser , when I disconnected it , back to revealing the language, activate it, it's gone , my ratings usually are for what the developer say their addon does, well, Bluehell not does what you say it does, with cream on top, though still lags the browser a little ; the convenience of switching it off/on so quickly compensates real well, besides it's still in development I suppose ?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0).
Thanks for Aurora (v3.05) support and not abandoning it.
I will agree with Quicksaver in some aspects, that your addon is too hard for average user (average, not just beginer); also, find in tabs not goodly integrated in to interface (floating window overlay searched page content) and can't show results in one list (even without regex), which Slowdowns search (most useful extension for that, imho - Hugo. It just shows results for all tabs without even switching); highlight all disables after clicking on page (not comfortable, many users select text, choose text boxes etc., I don't see positive reason to switch off highlightning). These are not proposals, but if you can, somewhere in the future, please fix them.
UPD. Yes, now drag-n-drop works fine (win7).
Almost perfect for notebooks. One request (if you have a time) - that right button function could be inverted (long click - background tab, short - menu). This method is more intuitive and will be especially useful for simple users. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.8.1).
"Download panel width" ignored with NNL theme.
UPD. Thanks, with 0.1.1 pre2 it works.
4.10 and 4.11 interfere with Tab Mix Plus - "Open new tabs next to current one" and "Open other tabs next to current one" not working, new (or from the links from the page) tabs always opens at the end of tab bar. Please fix it. 4.3.4 does not have this problem with TMP.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.10). This user has 4 previous reviews of this add-on.
Useful addon. Send search word from Fx searchfield to sidebar is great idea. Waiting for the fix of Highlight All problem and, also, please make compatibility with Fx25.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.1).
Did you try new beta version with "click to activate" (or "click to play per-element" addon) feature in firefox 24? It's not compatible. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.20130805). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
1. open in "next/prev tile" cannot open the link outside of vertical/horizontal sublayout (see my previous review for details for better understanding).
2. extension interfere with Pano extension (thumbnails are broken). Pano's function is broken, so it's tile tab bug.
Please fix these and not ignore.
Testing 0.4.7 - noticed some work in Page Info. Not completely work (blank fields), and will be better, if the list will be scrollable, because now I don't see picture preview. With this issue, I think it's more a beta (?).
UPD. Page info tab IS affected (firefox 22, 24, 25), I see fxif is integrated in it (just below picture preview), but exif data fields are empty.
Everything you needed is here: notes content in sidebar (without need to go to page), HTML (links, images) notes, highlighting and notes can be used as page position bookmarks, grouping by site, title, tag, color.. etc.
1. bug: in my case extension did not work, if sticky menu button is not on the toolbar (main or addonbar).
2. feature request: make this thing restartless.
3. your extension are not listed in your profile and not searchable (add tags) after you delete previous version, make something with it.
Outsides: the best note-taking addon.
Insides: >2mb outsource-class code which even slows opening a new page. MIT? Really?
I found another flaw of Firefox, which your extension can fix. Search function on websites, content of which are modifying (loading) by the scripts (ajax), can't auto-"highlight all" results until you walk to newly loaded words manually (by pressing F3), or by disabling/enabling "highlight all". Example - Deviantart "Show more": all new results not highlighted automatically (by single F3 keystroke). Opera and Chrome works there. All what is needed for the fix - disable(if enabled)/enable "highlight all" every time when press F3. Deviantart disables "highlight all" option, when new result are found, but there is another sites (shopping), which are not disables it, but the fix with "disable/enable highlight all" works perfectly with them.PS: it is more feature request, so I posted it here)
UPD. Thanks for the reply. Basically, "automatic disable/enable 'highlight all' with each F3 press" is needed (i.e. pressing F3 = [disable 'highlight all'] + [enable 'highlight all'] + ['next'], all 3 steps). That will fix any Firefox problems I mentioned.
Precise gestures recognition, custom hybrid gestures (gesture "up" can be stop+open link in current tab+search selection), and, of course, great link selection feature (shift/ctrl + right drag to "touch" needed links and save/open them. Release shift/ctrl without releasing mouse - not "touch" unneeded links), makes this extension the best gestures addon. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7.5).
Glaring example of badly named addon. It's not closed tabs restore with thumbnails (that'll be amazing), it's obsolete "all tabs" visual menu restoring addon.
Anyway, it does not work with Aurora 23.
Another Opera-mimicking feature. It has highlight selected links on page feature, but at the same time lacks much more meaningful features - bookmark selected links and download selected links.
"But I'm working on integrating FxIF output into graphik/media info of Firefox. So the informations you mentioned will then be presented in one dialogue."
I delete my previous comment and update rating just because of this. Hard to imagine a better integration.
Excellent for ex-Opera users.
Only 15% of config are covered (without extensions*). I don't think it's that hard to find all description and integrate them to addon.
