Pretty nice addon. Import from CSV can do the job but it lacks DIRECT support of commonly used programs (i.e. MSAccess or MSExcel) as external sources. It would be nice to have such a feature. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.9.1).
Apart from the very irritating restart popup message that appears in the address bar, the addon is very cool. It's a pretty nice descendant of an older similar addon.
- Make the restart popup appear where the toolbar icon is (if visible) and not on the start of the addressbar.
- Make the restart popup window disappear after a configurable timeout (3-5 seconds would be nice as default) and NEVER appear again, unless another addon is updated. It's extremely irritating to stop your work to close the popup, only for it to appear everytime you open/close a new tab. OK, i updated my addons, i DO NOT want to restart, period. No need to be reminded every 5 seconds.
- Time between checks could also contain a "3 hours" period. For those people working 8 hrs a day, it may be convenient to check twice a day for new addons.
Pretty please, as others have already said, make that icon's position/visibility configurable. It's very irritating. IMO, the best would be to make it appear inside the normal status bar (or "Status-4-evar" addon), so one may place it wherever he wants with the "Organize Status Bar" addon, or even disable it.
Also, why a "submit all" button only? What if one wishes to submit only a few addons status? I suggest adding a fourth state (V, X, ? and "none", where "none" could be achieved by clicking on an already selected icon -V, X, ?- to deselect it without selecting anything else). Then the "submit all" button could report only addons which have something selected. There could also be a header in the top of the window (V, X, ? - none) in order to set the clicked item to all addons.
Nice addon but unfortunately i have to agree with user "dhkjhgjaih". The single-click on a message is veeeery inconvenient.
I loaded this addon to test it in comparison with the (alternate) version but i think i will stick with the alternate one until (if) the single-click behavior is changed. Single-click should work like in the "alternate" version. In the "flag" column it should just switch between the "keep/remove" flag and in the rest of the row it should display the message in TB but the RDM window should stay on top of TB.
A great addon! A small feature request though. It would be nice if there was a way to configure which views are visible when you click on the arrow buttons. For instance, i would like to hide the "recent" and "unified" views, personally i never use them.
A very nice addon indeed.
I support kandilzade's request, to change the background color of the header when the message pane is selected. It would be helpful. I think it would also be nice if a way existed to customize the visibility of the buttons shown in the header (for instance, i hate the "junk" button and would like to remove it).
Thanks for the addon.
Very cool add-on! Really. Simple and does exactly what it's supposed to do (well, almost).
The only small issue i found is the text "selling for less than $.70/GB" in a page, which was not converted to Euros as i expected. I'm guessing it's due to the missing 0 before the dot.
Other than that, excellent (so far).
PS: Updated rating to 5 stars for the immediate bug correction. Excellent work!
It seems in FF15.01 the problems have been solved and Versions is working again, with some visual issues that exist for several versions now. Funny. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
As expected, since the addon seemed to not be developed for quite some time, it finally stopped working. Last working FF version was 14 (with minor visual problems). In FF15, it just does not work. Pages in the list file start to be loaded, but the process is never finished. All pages in the list stop at random points and the process is just never completed, forcing you to abort it. Pitty.
Great and simple, as the equivalent old and vanished addon. Thanks for that.
A "No proxy" selection would indeed be nice.
Also, it would be nice if you could just replace (from configuration, as an option) the status bar text with a since icon. The text is helpful but takes too much space.
The "Proxy: System Proxy" could be just "Proxy: System" or perhaps "(System Proxy)". Respectively, "Proxy: None" or "(No Proxy)"
Great addon but please add an option to remove the Tools Menu item. Totally unnecessary it you've set VPI to work automatically in the background or have enabled the status bar icon.
Its really nice. Shiny and clear indeed. Only one thing i really hate about it. Folder icons and bookmark icons are the same! You have to click on a folder (especially in the bookmarks toolbar) in order for it to open and change its icon to a left arrow. It's the only way to realize it's actually a folder and not a bookmark. The arrow could always be visible even in closed folders or perhaps folders could have a darker color or something. It would be much more clear...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3).
It doesn't seem to work correctly behind proxies. It claims to connect to the server and finish uploading the file normally but it actually does not upload it at all.
Very useful addon but does not seem to work with FF3.x :(
