A simple improvement that does exactly what it's supposed to do. Thank you.
Some reviewers have asked for more features, such as changing the appearance of the throbber. Please do not. Feature bloat is the bane of FF extensions. The best extensions are usually tiny, simple adjustments that make a surprisingly disproportionate improvement to the user experience. Too often those extensions grow and grow because of user requests, until they little resemble the great little wonders that they once were.
Thanks again to the developer. :-)
I still prefer this extension to any of the replacements that have been offered. Here are instructions to make Smart Bookmarks Bar work with FF6. (Copied from a review written by "Ramon" 5 months ago.):
1) download the .xpi file ( Rightclick on add to firefox and choose Save as..)
2)go to the .xpi file and open it with a zip-like program (I used winrar)
3) edit install.rdf, (in notepad) replace 3.1b2 with 6.9 ( in maximum version of ff
)4) Save the document
5) Go to the new firefox button; and choose addons
6) in the right corner you will see a settings icon, click that and choose install addon by file
7) Browse to your file and let firefox install the addon. Restart and enjoy this great addon in FF6
BetterPrivacy is a better extension, with more comprehensive protection. Get it instead, at least for now. I encourage the developers of Privacy+ to keep working on their extension. Thank you for your efforts.
Thanks chouser for a great extension. Congratulations on having the feature added to FF3.
The developer is updating the extension to work with v3. I got a "beta" that works just fine from his site:
This extension is definitely better than the "squared" copycat version that someone else has added to the site.
The original "Add Bookmarks Here" extension plus the OpenBook extension offer a superior user experience to this 'squared' version.

I've used Hyperwords for the better part of a year, and the instant access to extended information is second nature to me now.
This is not a shady company. A long list of internet/computing superstars are part of the Hyperwords project:
