This extension will work if the maxversion is manually bumped or for an easier approach the Add-on Compatibility Reporter extension is installed. Hopefully the author will one day fix it properly or someone will fully reproduce its functionality. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Well as a few of my add-ons have been updated recently I have noticed that the problem with the icon not changing seems to have gone. I am not sure which add-on was responsible but it is now working exactly as it says it does so a five star rating is deserved for a simple but useful add-on that adds the one thing missing from toggle private browsing. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0). Like the Toggle private browsing addon this provides an easy button to switch between modes but unfortunately there is a bug with the icon and URL bar colour. The icon starts off showing the disabled icon with a cross through the mask but after switching to private mode and back the private browsing icon remains and the URL bar remains in the grey colour set when entering private browsing by this addon. As the icon change seems to be the only real difference between this and Toggle Private Browsing this bug means there is little point in swapping if already using the former addon. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).
I was looking for a replacement for FoxClocks after reading the performance data for addons from Mozilla, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/performance. This fit the bill nicely as all I have ever wanted was a lightweight replacement for the long dead Statusbar Clock extension.
The only missing feature is the ability to display localised dates as this uses the US format of Month/Day rather than UK format of Day/Month with no obvious way to change this e.g. Apr 6 instead of 6 Apr.
Since the release of Firefox 3 I have been looking for a replacement for Form History Manager and at last one is now available. It works well and at last I can again clear out rougue credit card numbers from forms. It would be nice if when defining fields for cleanup certain ones could be immediately automatically cleaned but other than that it does everything I want. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2).
I've used this extension for a while on FF2.0 and now on FF3.0. Does exactly what it says and is surprisingly useful. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.5.0).
