Doesn't work well anymore. Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Using Firefox 51.0.1 (64-bit).
The login button often doesn't fill in fields, indicating "No matched credential is detected for this domain". However, if I attempt to re-save the login info (or add it again), it gives an error box stating "login already exists", which, of course, it does. Finally, if you right-click inside one of the fields and choose "fill password" from the context menu, it does so, but then you have to manually click 'enter', in order to access the web site. For years this add-on was killer, so thank you for that! Sadly, it may be time to move on.
Thank you for the following response. Much appreciated. I'll read up on the links that you've attached. I now understand that the "fill password" is a Ff feature...just wondering why the SL WebExtension doesn't fill in those passwords when they clearly exist. Also, of note: The add-on is not offering to store, or update, passwords anymore.
I've tried the suggestions from the comments. Still no luck. Just too buggy and unreliable at this point. The previous version was definitely a 5-star add-on, but this extension often requires 2-3 clicks to fill in a password. I get the "no matched credential" message often, even after manually filling in the information. It does seem to work on some sights, but as an add-on that requires constant trouble-shooting isn't ready for the everyday user.
Wipes out added searches every time Firefox updates! Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Every time Firefox updates, all the search engines I added through this extension disappear and have to be re-added. The extension isn't of much use at this point. I have to make note of each site and re-add them every time. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.1-signed).
FULLY customizable once again! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It used to be that you could customize it to be very small and expand as you started typing. It was beautiful. Not anymore???? There's no need to see the name of the search engine and don't like the shrink to button feature (which you have to click on before starting to type your query) -- like seeing the search engine icon (and little else). So, if you like to customize, you may not care for the new version.
WOW! LOVE IT! Works beautifully -- Like the first time I fell in love with Searchbar Autosizer. Perfect for saving space, yet still have the "eye candy" of the search engine icon and expands as you type your search query. Thank you for the update/fixes!! Great work!
How about Double-clicking current tab? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
There used to be an addon that allowed this: double-click the current tab to go to the last tab. Key strokes are a pain! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.1-signed.1-signed).
Performs as named! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Works well -- thanks!
For the tabs: install Tab Mix Plus, go into options --> Display --> Tab --> Customize Styles -- > Other Tabs, then dial down the opacity on the background color. I've got mine set at 20%. This might satisfy some who want the tabs to be more transparent.
Favicon issue Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Nice extension. It helped me tame my all too numerous open tabs! However, after installing it, my tab favicons would disappear if I moused over them (and would not reappear, and stick, unless I bookmarked that particular page). It was a bit frustrating and it took me a couple of weeks to figure out, but after getting suspicious, I disabled this extension and all is fine now. [I love my favicons because I only keep the tabs as wide as the favicons and it lets me know what is what!] May try it again at a later date...
