Quick and easy, thanks.

Xmarks Sync

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I've had so many problems with this addon, I dont know where to begin. It was nothing but trouble.
(1) Profiles not saving on the web page (2) Wrong profile loads after a week of working just fine - the profile showing does not even exits - MAIN is gone! Why has the addon reverted to this original profile that I deleted??! (3) Erased bookmarks, local that never did sync (4) Errors about password sync - I dont use password sync - refused to sync until fixed (5) Created a new account to fix the sync but all issues persist (6) All icons for all links gone (7) Duplicated folders - original bookmarks split between them, why would they even allow multiple folders! (8) Default setting is auto-sync, beware! (9) I have removed the addon and installed again and started over on both browsers, I've gone through all the settings, I've read the forums, Lastpass is great but this addon is so buggy it should not be allowed on the site.

BarTab Lite

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

FF12 does have the option to "don't load tabs until selected'

But it doesn't show them grayed out.

FF12 has incorporated this addon in a minimal, unsatisfactory way.

Adblock Plus

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is the first addon I install on a new FF install.
The web s**** without this addon.

Not having this addon would be like...

Walking the ghetto without a gun.
Never bathing.
Drifting in space without a suit.
Walking barefoot on glass.
Talking nice to a rabid dog.

BarTab Lite

Memory Saver Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon saves memory - especially for those with lots of tabs open.

I've reinstalled FF6 (actually PaleMoon v6) to use this addon again.

FF10 is junk - because it doesn't work with BarTab.

FF4-10 are junk for forcing coders to rewrite addons.

What is this a freaking endurance test? Come on Moziila? What happened to being better than Microsoft? What happened to being different? You're just a jerk now. Chrome is the sniz, and you sealed your fate the constant updates.

When Chrome has Tree Style Tab and BarTab, I'm gone.

/rant.

PaleMoon recompiles FF with 64bit and some enhancements, works great. Features an import tool to bring your addons and everything to the PaleMoon install: http://www.palemoon.org/

BarTab

Running 2.0 on FF6.01 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This works in FF6.01 - except unloaded tabs are not loading until refreshed.
I've only *just* updated this PC, and have not tested extensively. I've only reloaded a couple times... good so far.

In step 1, I found the xpi in my febe backups.
In step 2, I didn't see a "reset" in browser.sessionstore.max_concurrent_tabs, so I set it to 0.
In step 3, I used Winrar. Copied the file out, edit, copy back in, simple.

Must-have, DOES work w/ FF4

As far as I can tell BarTab does work with FF4 once the "max version" details in the XPI are modified. I have it installed and it appears to work as expected. So here's what you do, beginner-style:
(1) download the XPI from here or SnapFiles
(2) open about:config and navigate to "browser.sessionstore.max_concurrent_tabs", right-click and select RESET
(3) use a zipfile manager (these instructions are for 7-Zip) to open the XPI, right-click "INSTALL.RDF" and select EDIT
(4) locate the "maxVersion" tags and change the numerical value to " 4.0.* " w/o quotes
(5) save the updated archive (yes to update prompts) and install to FF
(6) return to about:config, filter "browser.sessionstore.max_concurrent_tabs" and change to value 0
(7) configure BarTab to not load tabs opened in background
Voila!

Tree Style Tab

Out of order Rated 5 out of 5 stars

When I open firefox 3.6.17, the tab tree is out of order with some tabs under tabs they were not under before....

Tab Utilities

Keyboard question Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm using Tab Utilities because with FF 3.6 + Tree style tabs, I could not make it open new tabs properly. It would open a tab to a similar page (like imdb) on a previously opened tab?! I went through the options 10 times and couldn't find any reason for this.

Tab Utilities fixed that, but now the keys are changed, like ctrl-arrow to jump words in text boxes, how do you stop Tab Utilities from changing the keys?

Tree Style Tab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon is the *only* reason I use FF (Chrome is much better but limited in addons)

I have 0.11.2011040804 on XP and Win7-64 with FF 3.6.16. On the 64 I'm not seeing the tabs in Config / New Tabs.... the problem is when opening a new tab from a link, it's opening in the same tab as a new link opened in before, even if they are to different domains.

After installing the disaster FF4 then returning to 3.6, I had to reinstall TST....

Hope you and your loved ones are OK!

Remove It Permanently

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very good design for configuring content to remove, the preview is very helpful. Import and export functions so you can save / transfer to another PC.

It isn't prefect. Often does not RIP a page after the initial load. For example using a search button on the page reloads with all the original content. I've adjusted the URL to be domain wide as the RIP website describes, same issue.

Tab Kit

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

My favorite addon.

Love the colors and the indentation.
No Browser is complete without vertical tabs, and Tab Kit is the best.

Should be called "Remove it until page refresh"

Black Stratini

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works Great in Linux and Vista.
Works with HTTPS (per other comment)
Works with Tree Style Tab.

THIS is the compact, dark theme I've wanted for years.

Black Stratini is perfect.
Please don't change a thing :)

Download Sort

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work with Direct Links, like Torrent file links.

I wonder how many people have tried to use it for direct links. Kinda frustrating, download and restart ff and test it and retest and it doesn't work so you search forums...

Recommend the description include "Not for direct downloads like torrent files"

GoogleEnhancer

date every time Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Doesn't remember the date (and I'm guessing the file type)
You have to tell it every search.

Custom Google Search

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm giving a good review because it does what it says, and as far as that goes it is pretty cool.

Removing some sites from all searches would be great, but...

The 'show options...' button is missing :(

So... no date range.

Redirector

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work. FF 3.0.14 Ubuntu

I've got a redirect setup right, the test button shows it should be just fine, but it does nothing.

I've checked the option to warn when pages are redirected, I get no warning.

It took quite some time to understand how it works because the 'help' on the web site is a 200 page list of posts by random people, and most of them know nothing about relaying information for others.

It would be much better if the author would make a short and sweet example list.

I don't see other addons to redirect. I just want &tdesc=1 added to the end of urls that start with a site/path.

RedShift V3

Really nice, wish it worked with tab kit.
